Ankle and Foot Institute of Texas, located in Saginaw, specializes in Shockwave Therapy for lower-extremity conditions including heel pain, neuropathy, and drop foot. Shockwave Therapy is a regenerative modality that uses acoustic waves to stimulate tissue repair and may help reduce inflammation in chronic musculoskeletal presentations. The clinic also offers orthotics and conventional foot care alongside its regenerative focus. Patients typically pursue Shockwave Therapy when conservative approaches have yielded limited relief, or as part of an integrated treatment plan for tendinopathy and chronic plantar fasciitis. Treatment is individualized based on patient presentation and response to initial sessions.
I’ve been a patient t of Dr Cerniglia for about 4 yrs. He is one of the kindness drs I know. He listens to you and is compassionate and understanding. He is not surgery happy. He will find every way possible to keep his patients out of surgery by using any conservative manner possible. I highly recommend him and his staff which are great as well!

Dr. C is one of the BEST dr/surgeon I've had the pleasure of working with. Not only does he take the time to listen to you but he doesn't just treat the symptoms, he does what it takes to fix the problem. You truely are the patient first and foremost with him! Most doctors only care about numbers but with Dr. C, im not even sure he looks at the numbers. He truely just wants to help people heal and I love that!

Had a pretty odd and unhelpful experience here. The receptionist was very friendly. The doctor was nice but he said that what I suspected was the issue isn’t a real condition (trigger toe)…I’ve read peer reviewed research that says it is. If it had just been him telling me that I didn’t have it than that would be that, but dismissing the existence of the condition didn’t give me confidence that his experience was what I needed.
He also gave me unsolicited nutrition advice (I’m fat and diabetic) and encouraged me to aim for an A1c that my endocrinologist doesn’t think is realistic for my case. This isn’t a unique experience but it’s still one that I don’t appreciate. To wrap things up he recommended some supplements not covered by insurance from a compounding pharmacy.
It seems like folks have had great experiences with the practice for other conditions but it wasn’t a fit for me and I’ll be getting a second opinion.
