About this clinic

McLean Neuropsychiatric Treatment Center, a mental-health clinic in McLean, Virginia, offers ketamine and esketamine (Spravato) alongside transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) for treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. The practice specializes in evidence-based protocols for patients who have not responded adequately to standard pharmaceutical approaches. Ketamine and esketamine work through distinct neurobiological pathways and may be appropriate for different clinical presentations; TMS provides a non-pharmaceutical alternative using magnetic stimulation to modulate neural activity. Treatment selection is individualized following comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. The clinic positions itself as a referral destination for complex

I cannot say enough good things about the care and professionalism of this practice. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that this is a place built around attentiveness, listening, and respect for the individual, not just the diagnosis. The staff are consistently outstanding. They listen carefully, notice small but important needs, and respond with thoughtfulness rather than assumptions. What stands out most to me is how intentionally they work with each person to shape a treatment plan that actually fits. This is not a one-size-fits-none model of care. It’s collaborative, adaptive, and grounded in the reality that people respond differently and deserve to be treated that way. The environment itself also matters, and they get that. The office is welcoming and calming, and the small acts of hospitality they offer go a long way toward helping people feel safe and comfortable in what can be a vulnerable setting. Those details aren’t incidental, they’re part of good care. If you are looking for a neuropsychiatric practice where clinical excellence and human decency coexist, this is a place I would recommend without hesitation.

Very thorough and individual approach. I’ve battled depression for my entire life with no help from meds or therapy. After my 36 sessions I can confidently say I have noticed very positive changes. I am more confident, more motivation, more personality, less dark thoughts, more just normal. This program has finally given me hope for a fulfilling life. The staff were all amazing, very caring and helpful. I drove 45 mins one way 5 days a week to get here on a recommendation. And it was definitely worth it and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone suffering.
