I have had several surgeries over the years and this was by far the easiest and most pleasant I have had. Dr. Bennion was professional, courteous and took the time to explain the procedure, answer my questions and make sure that the procedure was the correct option for my situation.
I highly recommend him and his practice. The entire staff was exceptional!

Researched an orthopedic surgeon that was in network and good reviews and Dr. Bennion was on the checklist. First appointment did not wait too long to be brought back, waited about 20 mins in the room. He quickly went thru the exam and ordered an MRI. At this appointment I asked questions and felt like his responses towards me were very short and kinda made feel like I was wasting his time. I took this non personal as I understand he is a busy surgeon. Nonetheless I did the MRI and went back for results. At this appointment waited 30 mins to be brought back and another 30 mins to be seen. This time I asked the MA how far behind he was and was told there were 4 patients ahead of me. I was prepared for the wait. But! He came said based on results I needed PT and come back in 6 weeks and he was going to walk away. I said that's all, he replied what else do you want to discuss. I asked my question, he answered annoyed. I felt so taken aback all these great reviews about him being so caring and great, why was i treated differently?

So, I’ve suffered with left shoulder pain for years. The original injury was secondary to excessive exercise strain while performing ab curls with an ab roller wheel. I went down and knew right away I was hurt. PT x 2 extended sessions, steroid injections x 2. Stem cells, and PRP x 3. First plain PRP injection, then the next 2 at a different location where the Naturopath tried to add extras all without relief. I needed surgery.
I met with 4 different Orthopedic Specialists and Dr Bennion stood out as the most caring. He spent the most time with me answering questions and it became an easy decision for me. Surgery was scheduled at a surgery center not far from his Scottsdale office. Everything went well.
The pain was tolerable during the day and as he explained, sleep was the worse. I was able to get semi-comfortable on our couch with the recommended ice circulation system I was able to purchase on Amazon. I slept on the recliner. I purchased the recommended CBD products that helped too. Physical Therapy went well at Ortho-AZ. Shout out to John Walker. I’m now pain free, my range of motion has been better than expected (based on the independent evaluation by John Walker) and I’ll be returning to work in another 2 weeks. Right on schedule.
I was fortunate to lie on a treatment table next to another individual who underwent the same surgery, same side but his surgery was 6 months ago. We went through our therapy session almost in parallel and as we were icing down after we concluded, that gentleman said that I’m doing so much better than he is at only 3 months. He asked who my surgeon was and he told me that he was going to pass along Dr Bennion’s name to one of his colleagues who also is in need of a rotator cuff repair.
In closing, I spent my due diligence reviewing, interviewing and deciding upon my surgeon. Dr Bennion came highly recommended and I can see why. His bedside demeanor was spot on, his skills are obviously beyond excellent and his team surrounding him are so helpful and receptive. If you’re in need of specialized Orthopedic services, don’t look farther than Dr Bennion. Thank you Doc!

Dr. Bennions Office not only helped me with one knee surgery/meniscus repair, but two knee surgeries. Also giving more options on treatment to a much more complicated second knee surgery. Over the course of two years, I saw Dr. Bennion. .His office was always prompt when calling and scheduling and was very kind With follow up. They made the process very seamless.
Dr. Bennion himself always being professional, but at the same time, giving a relaxing tone to relieve my worries and always making me feel at ease. He answered all of my questions before, during and after surgery. Making the whole process Great and very successful.
