I can’t say enough great things about Phil and his team at Arizona Sports Medicine. After a soccer injury, I was dealing with a torn meniscus and multiple damaged ligaments in my knee, and I fully expected that surgery and a long, difficult recovery were unavoidable.
From the very first visit, Phil was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time to explain all of my possible treatment options in a clear, honest, and easy-to-understand way. While surgery was on the table, Phil strongly recommended trying a PRP procedure first—and I’m extremely glad I trusted his expertise.
Choosing PRP with Phil and his team turned out to be the best decision I could have made. I experienced immediate improvement, required zero surgeries, and had minimal downtime, which was far beyond what I ever expected. The results exceeded my expectations.
What truly sets Arizona Sports Medicine apart is the personalized care. Phil’s team created a recovery plan tailored specifically to me, including physical therapy and strength training designed to support long-term healing and performance—not just short-term relief.
If you’re dealing with a sports injury and want a solution that prioritizes recovery, performance, and avoiding unnecessary surgery, I highly recommend PRP through Phil and his team at Arizona Sports Medicine. Their expertise, professionalism, and results are second to none.

I cannot speak highly enough of Phil and the entire staff. My son has been dealing with some pretty significant patellar tendinitis and as a baseball catcher that is not ideal. After months of therapies, his trainer recommend we see Phil. I wish we had not waited so long to see him. Two PRP treatments in and my son is catching, lifting and getting back into his normal routine. Extremely happy with him and so thankful for the help he has given us! Great communication, knowledgeable staff, just overall very caring compassionate people. Phil is the MAN!

What a hidden jewel I found here at Arizona Sports Medicine! The communication is amazing and literally a text message away. Phil is awesome and has my hormones balanced and I feel great. He also has me on a great peptide regimen that helps with strength and recovery so I can keep up with the young bucks at jiu Jitsu. I have energy for all 3 of my kids at 37 and I feel like I’m 20 again. I’m also passionate and exciting again towards my wife. That was the biggest sign something was wrong with my hormones. Phil and his team have me back on track!!

I had pain in my elbow from playing basketball and thought it was some sort of Bursitis. Dr. Veatch was very quick to rule it out and highly suggested I get x-rays. Turns out I not only had a serious bone spur, but it was also fractured. They then got me in touch with a surgeon and all for an extremely reasonable price. They knew I was cash pay and sensitive of cost and kept everything very affordable. Couldn't recommend AZ Sports Medicine more!!

I can't thank Dr. Phil enough at Arizona Sports Medicine for helping me manage my plantar fasciitis. When I first came in back in November 2023, the pain was gnarly. For context, I'm in video production, so my job involves long days of standing and shooting, as well as sitting at a computer for hours. The pain was so bad, I could barely walk to the bathroom in the mornings without limping. It felt like the pain would never go away.
We started with shockwave therapy, going in once a week, and by December, I began to notice improvements. In January 2024, Dr. Phil recommended PRP injections to take things to the next level, and that’s when the real progress started. Alongside the shockwave therapy, I had additional PRP rounds in February 2024 and May 2024, as well as scraping treatments on my calves, heel, and Achilles.
By March 2024, I was able to handle 10-hour shoot days without significant pain and even managed to go snowboarding with only mild discomfort. The healing was gradual but steady, and whenever the shockwave therapy seemed to plateau, we’d boost the progress with another round of PRP. By July 2024, I was able to walk barefoot and apply pressure to my heels with minimal pain. We then moved to shockwave sessions every other week.
My last PRP treatment was in October 2024, and by November, I went snowboarding—this time with my foot feeling solid on the mountain, probably at 80-90% comfort. Since then, I haven’t needed any more treatments. Along with consistent stretching and custom-molded shoe inserts, the combination of therapies has been a game changer.
Now, March 2025, I’m at 95-98% recovery and can enjoy all the activities I love—hiking, skateboarding, snowboarding, and long workdays—without any major discomfort. Dr. Phil’s expertise and personalized care made all the difference in managing my plantar fasciitis. If you're dealing with it, I highly recommend Arizona Sports Medicine. The progress I made over the past year was incredible, and I'm truly grateful for Phil’s help. You won’t regret it.
