About this clinic

Rheumatology Center of San Diego offers Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy for musculoskeletal and joint conditions, providing a regenerative alternative alongside conventional rheumatologic care. The practice is led by a rheumatologist and physician assistants who focus on individualized treatment planning for chronic pain, osteoarthritis, and soft-tissue injuries. PRP injections support tissue repair and may help reduce inflammation in patients seeking to optimize function and slow degenerative progression. The clinic integrates nutritional assessment into care pathways, and patients can access appointments both in-person and via telemedicine. Treatment decisions are tailored to each patient's condition and goals.

Neenah Grade is an excellent PA. She’s a great listener and extremely smart. I highly recommend seeing her. Alina was the admin staff member I worked with and she was kind, warm and efficient. All in all, a good experience because of Neenah and Alina.

I saw Alicia Gill on my visit to rheumatology doctor. She saw me early, she asked and answered my questions. She had compassion and she was professional. She was very polite and took care of all my issues. I would recommend seeing her.

Was referred to Dr. Rivera by another doctor’s office as she was known as an “expert” in the area for a specific condition the referring physician thought I may have at the time. Went to the appointment, Dr. Rivera walks in, asks “how she can help?” She was polite but incredulous (had feeling of “like why are you here?” Well, You read my paperwork, you tell me!) I have to explain what I’m referred for, where she tells me “ well there’s no lab test for this condition” and proceeds to read off a very short and narrowly specific checklist of symptoms doctors use to attempt to diagnose it, then was like “no, you don’t have this, is there anything else?” Honestly from start to finish I was in there less than 10 min for an appointment I waited almost a month for, and I walked out thinking, “really, an “expert’?” Maybe in how to get rid of a patient in under 15 min? Everything else was fine. They weren’t rude, but felt my time was wasted.
