Tahoe Hyperbaric

I have by way of education and profession a fairly extensive background in health science and medicine. I was a cardio-pulmonary technician plus developed medical rehabilitation hospitals around the U.S. My wife Bonnie and I both have suffered serious head injuries from cycling accidents. In my case a recent bike accident caused a concussion and 6 bone fractures. We are 78 years old and have noticed that over the past 5 years developed mild to moderate traumatic brain injury symptoms. While I was aware of HBOT I hadn’t investigated its value as a modality in the treatment of tbi as well as for other ailments and serious medical conditions, such as my fractures, until two of our sons recommended using it. As a consequence I began doing research on its use and value. There was more than enough scientific and medical information available to justify using this technology. In addition our son and a friend, who live in Santa Barbara, have used HBOT extensively and feel it’s helped them recover from their injuries. My wife and I have now completed 30 sessions and we both feel our mental and physical capacity in conducting our activities of daily living activities have been enhanced. According to x-ray follow up my fractures have healed faster than predicted. I recommend that if you have chronic or sub acute physical issues that haven’t been resolved that you consider using HBOT as adjunctive therapy. Sitting or reclining inside the chamber is not unpleasant or claustrophobic, plus the staff and environment at Kensho Wellness Center are highly professional, pleasant, and helpful.

I had a procedure recently and decided to try hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help with my recovery. I’m so glad I did. The sessions significantly reduced my swelling and discoloration, and I noticed a real difference in how quickly everything improved. Even my medical team commented on how fast my healing progressed. I felt rejuvenated after my session, and I'm a sleep deprived mother (my nine-month old hasn't slept longer than three hours for months). One of the co-owner ran my session, and she was lovely and accommodating. I have had issues with equalizing my sinuses while diving, so we set up my treatment to respect that history, which was comforting. The chamber was clean and comfortable with a reclining chair. I'm grateful for the chance to experience the benefits of the technology and what it can do for those in our community.
