I love Dr. Baker!!! He was wonderful! Great bedside manner, gave me his personal cell phone number when I was especially nervous and paranoid with my first pregnancy (twins) and resolved a lot of health issues I was having, naturally. Other Doctors just tried to write me prescription. I had to travel to IF from Rexburg and it was definitely worth the drive. I am currently living out of state and have to find a new OB...I know I have to lower my expectations because no one is as good as Dr. Baker. I highly recommend him to everyone!!

I’m writing this review because I miss Dr Baker. 3 years ago Dr Baker helped me find answers to long awaited question about my health. For the 1st time I had a Doctor that was willing to start from the beginning with me to find the root of the problem rather than only treating the symptoms. Dr Baker was so open and patient about everything and didn’t push medication which was such a relief to me. Thank you! Thank you! After 3 babies the one I had with him as my doctor has been by far the easiest. I 100% recommend Dr Baker!

I’ve reviewed him like 3 years ago but this man is the reason I’m afraid to go to doctors. Why I feel so invalidated when it comes to my health. It’s been years since I’ve seen him but I get so angry still. If he would’ve just LISTENED to my concerns maybe my hypothyroidism wouldn’t have gotten as bad as it did, I wouldn’t have been told I’m just fat and need to go vegan (from Dr baker). I wouldn’t have have been told I don’t have PCOS and I’m just making it up just to have 18 cysts removed from my ovaries a year later, oh and a bunch of endometriosis. You are exactly what’s wrong with the health industry Dr baker, people can tell when their bodies aren’t feeling right and to dismiss them and think you know better due to a degree you earned in a decade over someone who’s spent a lifetime in their body and spending their own money to come try to figure out what’s wrong. I just wanted to feel better, physically and mentally about myself. But Dr Baker you did NOTHING to help. You are a disgrace of a doctors and I will ALWAYS make sure no one I know goes to you. When asked for my obgyn recommendation my response is usually “I don’t know but anywhere besides Dr Baker at the Healing sanctuary.” And the fact when I tell this story and other doctors in town know exactly who I’m talking about without name dropping. I’m not the first person you’ve done this too. When I confronted him about it in person (which I recorded) his response was “well it’s called practice for a reason”. Well sir, it’s also called Malpractice for a reason and you should be ashamed of how you’ve made people feel in their bodies and the lack of trust they have in the health industry now. Thanks for the trauma.

Dr. Baker is a huge disappointment. I hadn't seen an OB/GYN for ten years, and at age 47 became pregnant. I turned to Dr. Baker because he was excellent when he delivered our daughter. The first appointment was fine. Staff was excellent. An internal ultrasound was performed confirming the pregnancy before we saw the doctor. After reviewing the ultrasound, Dr. Baker informed us that I would probably miscarry within two weeks. I told him I would schedule my next appointment as if I wasn't going to miscarry and that if I had, I would keep the appointment for a routine examination and pap smear. He agreed. Dr. Baker was right. I miscarried just as he said I would. Our second appointment with Dr. Baker went horribly wrong. We waited 45 minutes after our appointment time to see him. He visited with my husband and me and recommended one of us be "fixed" to prevent further pregnancies. He gave me the same information about my miscarriage that I had already read on WebMD. Two different times I asked him about doing a pap smear and he shrugged it off. Finally, I said clearly, "My expectation for this appointment is that I would have a pap smear and a blood test." Dr. Baker replied, "You expected traditional medicine. That isn't what I do." He then proceeded to "pitch" a health and wellness program that he would begin after the first of the year. Dr. Baker never touched my body. What part of "I haven't seen a doctor in ten years." didn't he understand? He sent me out the door with a 7 page questionnaire to fill out and a "Better Lifestyle" pamphlet. Many of the questions on the questionnaire had already been answered on the paperwork that took me 20 minutes to fill out at the first appointment. Dr. Baker obviously hadn't reviewed any of my paperwork prior to our appointment. I received no value whatsoever from Dr. Baker during that second appointment. He didn't perform any kind of examination and he pitched additional services that we didn't want. When my husband called to dispute the charges for that day, they refused to negotiate. They called it a "consultation" and charged us $180.00 for 20 minutes of Dr. Baker's time.

Dr Baker has continued to learn and integrate alternative medical practices, currently encouraging women and men to improve their health through functional medicine. He is patient, methodical, and has a great deal of professional integrity as a provider. You will not find a better doctor, anywhere.
