They will lie to you. Don’t believe any of the ads you see for discounted consultations. If you make an appointment under the pretense you are getting the discount rate it is not explained to you that it’s not a true consultation. You will have to make an additional consultation and only because I called and told the practice manager Chase something did they offer to take the $27 discount price off of the full consultation cost of $120. I explained to him that the ad says $120 crosses that amount out and says special price for the next ten clients $27. Had I known that the day I went for the first time I would have just paid the full amount. Also by doing this I exposed myself to additional radiation because they did x-rays twice. Then when I was scheduled for the 3rd visit I got hesitant and canceled and the staff called to reschedule and I told her how I felt that why do I have to make an additional appointment and pay again out of pocket to now come up with a treatment plan when this should have been done during the consultation. Not to mention they lied and said they don’t file the consultation with insurance. The office manager called me back to go over my concerns told me that she was sitting with Chase when he called me that he advised me we could as a courtesy file with my insurance that was not true. He never mentioned filing the multiple consultations with my insurance. Who in there right mind would pay out of there pocket when they could use there insurance. I know given the choice use my insurance that is what we pay insurance premiums for. I was so hopeful that this was the answer to my pain. I was hoping that they could help me and this happens I feel like I was scammed utterly a slap in the face.

Dr. Fontenot has been super helpful with my treatment, and his staff are the best! Kristen is always polite and friendly and gets you in and out if you’re in a rush. I never have to wait before being called to the back. Donald and Kinslie take the time to get to know you and your wants/needs to be able to accommodate them. Highly recommend Bryant Medical Group.

My first visit was back in September. I could barely walk into the clinic on my own. Dr. Fontenot took me right away to the back. Pain scale 10++++. He had the NP see me for help, then did his adjustment. I will never forget the care him and his staff showed me that day and continues to this day!! He walked me to my car (who does that) He did!!! Thank you!!

Dr. Fontenot and his staff treated me like royalty! Insurance was taken care of and all upfront costs were explained to me . I came to them in pain and left feeling whole again. I can’t thank them all for their knowledge and professionalism. It’s a long drive for me but I’m anxious to get there and feel better.
Thank y’all for being there for all of us!

I was referred to Dr. Fontenot by The Joint (Ambassador, Lafayette location) after continuing to experience neck and back pain and hand numbness after 2 months of treatment there 3 times a week. At this point, I had exacerbated all homeopathic treatments for my chronic pain, and I decided this was my last effort before seeking out a Medical Doctor. I was initially examined by Dr. Fontenot and had X-Rays which determined I had cervical lordosis, bone spurring, and degeneration. He recommended a treatment plan of 52 visits and offered a discount if I paid up front. I was desperate at this point in my life for relief, and was given hope from the doctor that he could help me. I paid over $3000 up front in order to receive the “discount”. I saw him 3 times a week for a month or so then twice a week for the remainder of my sessions. Dr. Fontenot only spent 5 minutes top with me per appointment, and it was always super rushed before I was sent off to a combination of Traction, Ultrasound, and Electrical Stimulation administered by his “techs”, who I found out were just kids and had no formal education in Traction or PT/Chiropractic care. He never once put me on the Traction machine. He also always performed the exact same manipulations on me every single time no matter what pain I was experiencing. After the first month or so of treatment , I seemed to experience some relief. But this was short lived, and from then on my pain would continue to worsen. I was very communicative to Dr. Fontenot about my persistent and increasing pain and told him that I thought I may need to be evaluated by a MD for surgical intervention, as I had a suspicion that I had a more serious underlying issue. I was always told “Let’s just wait” and “No, you’re too young for surgery”. I grew increasingly frustrated and cried several times to Dr. Fontenot in pain. After a few months of treatment, I started to ask for MRI imaging, in which he ALWAYS told me “let’s just wait it out”. I cried and broke down to him SEVERAL times, telling him that I thought there was something wrong. I finally got a second opinion by a Physical Therapist, and was told I needed an MRI immediately (and this exam was without X-rays). So I finally convinced Dr. Fontenot to send an order in for a Cervical (neck) MRI. When going over the results of that MRI with me, he informed me that I have Severe Spinal Stenosis along with 3 herniated discs, and a list of other terms I was unfamiliar with. He told me that I would “need neck surgery sooner or later” and that he had to refer me to a Neurosurgeon at this point. I want to add that during this haunting session, his assistants kept popping in and saying that he had clients waiting (making me feel rushed as usual). He quickly got up patted me on the back (coldly) and said “Sorry” as he walked out. I was referred to Dr. Appley. I was so upset because after 7 months in his care, I felt completely neglected and dismissed. He ignored my literal cries and pleas for further investigation. After this session, I asked his office for my medical records and money back for my leftover sessions that were pre-paid. I tried getting in touch with Dr. Fontenot and Chance, his manager, for weeks with no response. I went back and forth calling his New Iberia and Lafayette office with no response from either of them. I had to physically go to his Lafayette office demanding my records and money back. Initially, his receptionist told me that I had exhausted my visits and wasn’t going to receive a refund. I fought that and finally received a check for my remaining unused appointments. I never once heard from Dr. Fontenot or Chance after my MRI results were read to me, which was extremely disheartening. While waiting to get in to see a Neurosurgeon, I went to see Dr. Kevin Lasseigne, MD at LOS that discovered 4 more herniations that run down my entire spine. I’ve had 4 sets of epidural injections and two hand surgeries in the last 7 months since I left Dr. Fontenot’s practice. And, I am having neck surgery Sept. 20th. Dr. Fontenot has scarred me for life.
