Better Brain & Body

Better Brain & Body has been an incredible resource for me as an athlete and for my overall health!!! I originally came in looking to improve both my physical and mental wellness, and my experience has been nothing but positive. I did the two-hour neurological assessment and felt it was incredible impactful. I learned so much about how my brain and body function and how it connects to my overall health. On top of that, the team has been incredibly thoughtful and thorough in supporting me with anxiety, ADHD and physical injury with my endurance training through personalized care. The shockwave therapy has made a real difference in my recovery as a runner. They’re knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely invested in long-term results. I’m so grateful to be supported by a clinic that truly looks at the whole person. Rebecca is always so smiley and welcoming when I walk in, Cameron and I have great chats during our sessions and Dr. Brown is so knowledgeable and kind, also makes the complexities of the brain easier to digest ha! Highly recommend!!!

I had a great experience at Better Brain & Body from start to finish. The entire staff is welcoming and professional, and they took the time to really understand what I was going through, explaining everything in a way that made me feel comfortable and informed. They run the clinic efficiently, and the environment is calm and clean. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for excellent care and wonderful people! Also, Charlotte is a welcoming city, I loved visiting it. A special thanks to Dr. Alicia and Dr. Abi! =)

Let me start off by saying I have nothing but nice things to say about the staff and their bedside manner. They were lovely! But I have now had diagnosed POTS for 2 years and BBB was where I first got treated with a lot of different functional neurology tools. Unfortunately none of these tools worked very well for me, and while I saw about a 15% improvement in my symptom load while actively in sessions there, all my progress went away once I stopped going. All I’ll say is I’d have about $7,000 more if I had just tried physical therapy and beta blockers first😭 I say this with so much respect for the staff and what they do but just know that according to the top notch doctors and researchers I’ve now been able to see at Johns Hopkins — POTS is not curable (it can go into remission), it’s chronic. And if someone tells you otherwise, they are misleading you.
