After developing necrosis following plastic surgery and being left with a 19 cm wound on my back, I turned to wound care feeling scared and unsure if I would ever fully heal. Three months later, I am completely healed. Dr. Jeong knew exactly what to do from the very beginning, and every nurse I encountered was compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive. They not only helped my body heal, but also gave me peace of mind during a very difficult time. I cannot thank them enough and would recommend this wound care team without hesitation—100 times over.

As a nurse I am very appreciative of the wonderful care that my husband has received. Dr Christine Jeong and her staff are an asset to the Erlanger system. He has always had a positive experience.

I recently had hip replacement and my balance isn't very good. On February 21st I was getting out of bed and my feet slipped out from under me. We have hardwood floors and they are sometimes slick. I can't get up by myself if I fall. My husband has a bad back and even though I don't weigh alot it's difficult trying to get someone up when they fall. He would get me up and my body would go back instead of front. After falling 7 or 8 times I was able to keep my balance and my husband got me my walker. I got a nasty looking wound on the outside of my left calf. I think all of the friction when I was trying to stand up caused the wound. I went to my PCP and he didn't seem concerned. I asked him should I go to a wound doctor and he said no, that he would write me some antibiotics which didn't help. I don't know why he didn't want me to see a wound doctor. I took it on myself to find a wound. Lucky for me that the first place I saw was at Erlanger which is my choice of hospitals. I got an appointment on March 17th. I didn't even think to ask her name but she was wonderful and so were her nurses.I change the dressing every other day. She told me to come back in 2 weeks and this was 2 weeks but we had a death in our family. Since they are closed on Friday I'm going to call them on Monday and get an appointment. I think my wound would be healed IF my PCP had told me to see a wound doctor in the first place. I was treated very well at the wound center and needless to say I'm extremely aggravated with my doctor. Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to let everyone know that I had a Wonderful experience at the wound center.
