Diabetes & Thyroid Metabolic Clinic

I have 4 autoimmune diseases and get treated at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix because my health is so complicated. Some things came up that suggested I needed to see an endocrinologist and the Mayo Clinic wanted me to see an Endocrinologist at the Mayo in Phoenix but I already have 4 specialists there that I need to see and the traveling is a lot so I asked my Primary care here in El Paso to refer me to someone local. I only had good experiences with this office. The staff are very friendly and professional, they are very competent and knowledgeable. From the ladies at both windows and Nellie doing the vitals they made a great impression. Mr Almeida is also very knowledgeable and I already feel better just by some things he caught, diagnosed and adjusted. I have a good idea if someone does not know what they are doing, or talking about since I used to be a pharmacist before I had to medically retire and they are normally not able to answer my questions but Mr Almeida is very knowledgeable, answers all my questions in detail and I feel as comfortable with the care I am receiving. The type of professional service this clinic offers is not seen at any of the dr’s offices I have to visit on a very regular basis. They give the best service out of all my dr’s offices in El Paso. I am very impressed. Jackie and Joslin were very friendly and helpful as well. I have not spotted any bad apples amongst the staff, which says something about the leadership and management of the clinic as well. I’ve been battling PCOS since puberty and I’m well into my 30s, and I can honestly say Mr. Almeida and his team have provided the most validating and helpful medical experience I’ve had. I found them through a recommendation and decided to book a visit—and I’m so glad I did. They listened without rushing, made me feel understood, and helped me create a realistic plan to manage my symptoms, so I finally feel like I have a plan. I highly recommend them to anyone feeling dismissed or stuck. Shout-out to Linda and Nelly for always being so helpful and kind at every appointment. 😍

I just established care with Dr. Almeida and this clinic is great. He seems to be a great doctor with a lot of knowledge. He was very patient and thorough at my appt. He gave me space to talk and listened while I brought him up to speed with my medical history/conditions. Nelly was also great! She was also patient and thorough and explained everything I needed to know as a new patient. The office staff up front is very polite and easy to communicate with. I’m so glad I chose to this office and will definitely remain a patient. Highly recommend!
