Extremely professional with a wonderful bedside manner. He personally checks in to see how you’re doing and takes the time to address any questions or concerns, which really sets him apart. His staff is just as impressive—kind, welcoming, and very accommodating with scheduling and individual needs. The whole experience made me feel truly cared for and confident in my care.

On my first visit to Dr. Whitfield’s office, I felt he was attentive, thorough, and very kind. And the office staff were also professional and courteous. I am grateful to have found a trusted resource for my ongoing health journey.

I started seeing Dr. Whitfield about 2 years ago after dealing with ongoing fibroid and pelvic pain. I came to him after seeing all the great reviews on him. I hate to say that has not been my experience at all just like a handful of other women. I have found him to be extremely dismissive of my symptoms. He’d rather cover my symptoms with pain meds instead of getting to the root of the issue. I recently returned due to increasing pain. I brought my mother due to his dismissive nature in the past, hoping that her being there would help him see another point of view. He was so rude to me and my mom. He cut me off while I tried to explain my symptoms to say he didn’t ask me that. He proceeds to call my mom a helicopter mom just for her being there in my support. He criticized my PCP for ordering a pelvic exam. But the honest truth, my PCP has tried harder to figure out what is going on than he has as a medical provider specializing in this. Not to mention, black women continue to be dismissed as patients in OBGYN. I never thought I’d actually experience it myself. I hate to say that I have and this has been the worst experience. It’s a shame that I have been advocating for years and now as an adult also having to bring my mother to advocate and still be treated horribly. There is no cause for this treatment as he has been this way with me from my very first visit. I have continued to return as he is one of the few specialists in the area and hoping that one day he would see how real my pain is. Big mistake. I will now have to go to another specialist and start from scratch.
