This is the national page for multiple sclerosis (MS) treatment on Regenerated.com, listing clinics across the United States that record care for MS. Multiple sclerosis treatment covers three kinds of care. Disease modifying therapies (DMTs) aim to reduce relapses and new lesions. Relapse treatment usually means high dose corticosteroids or plasma exchange. Symptom care and rehabilitation address fatigue, spasticity, walking, bladder and mood. DMTs include self injected interferon beta and glatiramer acetate, oral medicines such as dimethyl fumarate, teriflunomide, fingolimod and cladribine, and monoclonal antibody infusions such as natalizumab and ocrelizumab, given in hospital or office infusion suites. Neurologists, especially those with neuroimmunology training, lead most care, supported by MS certified nurses, infusion nurses, physical and occupational therapists and rehabilitation physicians. Patients often compare this care with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (aHSCT), mesenchymal stem cell therapy, IV nutrient drips, low dose naltrexone and diet programs.
The evidence picture depends on which of those you mean. Many DMTs are FDA approved for relapsing forms of MS, and ocrelizumab is approved for primary progressive MS as well, backed by large randomized trials that show fewer relapses and less new MRI activity. No therapy is shown to restore lost function, and options for progressive MS without inflammation remain limited. Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is not FDA approved for MS. The MIST trial, which compared it with standard drugs in highly active relapsing MS, reported fewer relapses, and the National Institutes of Health funded BEAT-MS trial is studying it further. Mesenchymal or umbilical cord stem cell injections, IV vitamin and NAD drips, and off label low dose naltrexone have thin evidence for MS and are mostly cash pay. More detail on the condition itself sits on the multiple sclerosis condition page.
Candidates for disease modifying therapy are generally adults and some adolescents with a confirmed diagnosis under the McDonald criteria, usually based on MRI, clinical history and sometimes a spinal tap. Pregnancy plans, active infections, liver problems, prior cancer and JC virus status shape which drug a neurologist will suggest. People whose symptoms are not yet diagnosed, or who are being offered an unapproved product in place of their prescribed therapy, are usually told to see an MS neurologist first.
Supply runs from academic comprehensive MS centers and hospital neurology programs, through community neurology practices with their own infusion chairs and independent infusion centers, to integrative and functional medicine clinics, stem cell clinics and wellness studios. Listings on this page concentrate in California, New Jersey, Texas, Florida, Arizona and Illinois, and many patients travel for a second opinion or a trial before continuing care closer to home.
Before booking anywhere, ask who is the prescribing neurologist, who supervises infusions, and whether staff can manage infusion reactions. Ask exactly what is administered, whether it is an approved drug, a compounded preparation or a cell product, and where it comes from. Ask for written disclosure of risks, including infections and the brain infection known as PML with some antibody drugs. Ask what a quote itemizes, how insurance prior authorization is handled, and how MRI monitoring, lab work and follow up are arranged.
This national list is not for sale. Organic order is never paid ranking, Featured slots are labeled and capped, and Verified means the clinic completed credential checks, not that it spent money. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement. Use the state hubs below the list to build a shortlist closer to you.
