Suburban TMJ and Sleep Center

I've had severe TMJ since I was a child and now at 23, it has only gotten worse as I've gotten older. A few months ago, the disc in my jaw suddenly came out of place and my mouth felt unaligned with severe jaw pain. I finally called Suburban TMJ after they were recommended to me by my dentist years prior. They got me in the next day and fully explained the entire treatment process which included wearing a specially made biteguard. The treatment was expensive and I was weary but I knew I had no other options. I'm writing this almost 3 months later after starting treatment and can confirm it was one of the best decisions of my life. My jaw pain went down almost completely within the first 2 weeks of wearing the guard and my disc went back into place. My jaw no longer needs to be unlocked in order to open and close it. I no longer have pain when chewing. I did have to go about a week without wearing my appliance, and I noticed the difference right away. If you are like me and reading reviews contemplating on whether to start or if the price is worth it , I can assure you that it 100% is and I feel like I got my life back! Money comes back, your jaw disc does not.

About 2 years ago I mentioned to my dentist recommended me to get a night guard to use while sleeping. Being stubborn I decided against it and here I am 2 years later struggling to open my jaw without it clicking/locking. After a consultation here with Dr. Patel and the team, I started to wonder if this is also why I can’t get rid of my neck and shoulder pain (even after seeing a chiropractor weekly). Just after a week under his care with my TMJ orthotic, everything is so different. I have zero pain in my neck and shoulder but also my jaw feels completely healed! I know it’s only been a week and it’s still a longer journey ahead, but I’m glad I decided to trust the team here and move forward with care. Everyone is so welcoming, personable and truly looking forward to helping me get back to normal function!

I'm so grateful to Dr. Patel for his knowlegde and experience that helped me progress so much in just one week! The appliance has made a huge difference in my life decreasing severe jaw pain and headaches very quickly. The whole team at Suburban TMJ and Sleep Center has been wonderful to work with and I couldn’t recommend treatment with them more.
