I was referred to Pathlight's IOP by Shepard Pratt after completing their PHP program. The therapeutic services I received were top notch. The materials they presented were very similar to those I received at Shepard Pratt, but were presented from a different perspective which really enabled me to better understand what I had already learned, along with new subjects which I hadn't been exposed to before. My therapist there---Angela---really helped me to begin working through my issues. Pathlight was a strong stepping stone on my journey of recovery.

If you’re hesitant - Don’t be!! I spent 5 weeks at Pathlight Mood and Anxiety doing their PHP program and it turned my life around. I cannot express how amazing the staff for the php program is. Specifically Dr. Nagireddi who was my psychiatrist and Megan who was my Therapist during my time there. The adult group therapy sessions were incredibly helpful and allowed me to learn coping skills, different types of therapy and connect with others who were going through what I was. I’ve made lifelong friends through the php program, and gained my confidence and self worth back. The program is also incredibly inclusive of all ages, backgrounds, gender identities, races, religion, etc. If you needed a sign to help you decide where to go - this is it! You deserve the time and space to be able to work on yourself, and pathlight is a great option.

Where do I start? Please do NOT waste your time or money with this IOP group. I chose this facility as a bridge from my PHP at SPH. With the exception of group therapist Ashley(who left while I was there), my individual therapist Mason, and the welcome administrative lady De'Naja? , this place is a HACK. They are very short staffed, pull therapy group leaders from the eating disorder side, and seem to do on the job interviews with therapists who clearly don't know the paper material they are reading. When I tell you this place almost plummeted me back into a deep depression, I mean that. I say that as a nurse who has a love for psych and how therapy helps people. I am also a former Psych RN. Their DBT and ACT group is a JOKE. I attended in August 2024, approximately around the 15th. The place is very modern on the inside. The group rooms would be very relaxing if you actually got something out of the therapy. The patients supported each other and seemed to know more about the topics than the group leaders. I cannot stress enough how outraged I was sitting thru these sessions. We all seemed so desperately depressed in there often talking about how awful the sessions were when Ashley did not run them. They lost a great employee when she left. I wouldn't recommend this place if it were free. I wish I had read the reviews before choosing this place. They are expensive too if you don't have health insurance or have high copays. Every time I drive past the place I get sad all over again, it's just that horrible. I just stopped going abruptly and left my partner to tell them how horrible the experience was when they called about my lack of attendance. They may do well on the eating disorder side, but how do you substitute those skilled in working with that population in at the last minute just to be able to bill your Mood Disorders clients? That's a greedy money grab and very dangerous. We were there to continue to get mentally well and several of us sank deeper into depression (as per our individual discussions amongst those in the group). Please hire some people who are skilled in this arena and pay them well so that they don't leave. Our recovery depends on it. This place gets a D- only because the facility is nice and my therapist Mason was amazing. I wish I could've told him that he was great! Ashley too.
