Maryland
Maryland's supply of red light therapy is concentrated in two areas: the Baltimore metro and the Washington D.C. suburbs in Montgomery and Prince George's counties, with a smaller cluster around Annapolis. Patients outside those areas, including Centreville and the rest of the Eastern Shore, and much of Western Maryland, typically have little or no local supply and should expect to cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge toward Annapolis or Baltimore, or travel toward the D.C. corridor, rather than finding a nearby option. This page lists every clinic Regenerated.com has verified statewide. If none appear close to you, that reflects where providers have actually set up, not a gap in this listing.
Maryland does not have a rule written specifically for red light therapy. What applies instead is the general framework: physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners can order and supervise it as part of medical care, chiropractors and physical therapists can use it within their scope for musculoskeletal goals, and wellness studios and medical spas can offer lower intensity devices for cosmetic use, usually under less direct clinical supervision. Which category a given provider falls into changes how closely a session is supervised and what it can actually be expected to treat.
To check a provider's standing in Maryland, look up physicians and physician assistants with the Maryland Board of Physicians, and nurses with the Maryland Board of Nursing. A clean record tells you a license is active and undisciplined. It does not tell you whether a specific device or protocol suits your situation.
Before booking anywhere in the state, ask who supervises the session, exactly what device and wavelength is used and where it comes from, for written risks and what happens if it does not help, and for a quote that itemizes what you are paying for. Listing order here is not paid ranking, Featured slots are labeled and capped, Verified means completed credential checks, and Regenerated.com is free for patients. Being listed is not an endorsement. For how red light therapy works and what the research supports, see the national red light therapy hub. Regulatory context
The "other" category is a catchall for regenerative wellness modalities with inconsistent federal oversight. Red light therapy devices (photobiomodulation) have narrow FDA 510(k) clearances for acne, muscle pain, and wound healing, not systemic regeneration. Whole-body cryotherapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical indication and received an FDA safety communication in July 2016 warning of asphyxiation, frostbite, and burn risks. Ozone therapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical use and the FDA has stated ozone is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application. Condition-specific regenerative offerings (hair restoration with minoxidil or finasteride, ED care beyond PDE5 inhibitors and shockwave) have varying approval depending on route and drug source.
The Maryland Board of Physicians investigates unlicensed practice and scope violations at wellness clinics. Ozone and chelation clinics making disease-treatment claims risk board action. The Attorney General pursues deceptive health claims under the Maryland Consumer Protection Act. Enforcement is moderate to strict given proximity to federal regulators and the DC metro area.
