Red Light Therapy clinics in Nevada

Red light therapy in Nevada is concentrated in the Las Vegas area, where most of the state's wellness studios, medical spas and clinical offices offering the treatment are located. Reno and Washoe County carry a smaller but real share, often inside physical therapy or chiropractic practices. Outside those two metros, availability drops sharply: rural Nevada and smaller communities such as Elko, Carson City or Pahrump have limited or no options, so residents there should expect to travel into Clark County or, in the north, the Reno area rather than finding a provider nearby.

Nevada has no rule written specifically for red light therapy, so general federal and professional rules for light-based wellness devices and the people who operate them govern a visit here. In a wellness studio or medical spa, a trained staff member or licensed esthetician typically runs the session as a cosmetic or relaxation service. In a clinical office, a physician, physician assistant, chiropractor or physical therapist may use it as part of a plan for a specific condition, which keeps that use inside ordinary scope of practice rather than creating a separate category under state law.

Before booking in Nevada, check a provider's standing directly. The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners licenses physicians and physician assistants, the Nevada State Board of Nursing licenses nurses and nurse practitioners, and the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology licenses estheticians who often run wellness-studio sessions. A board lookup confirms whether a license is active and shows public disciplinary history, though it will not tell you which device a studio uses or how a given session is run.

Before committing to a package, ask who operates the equipment and what training they hold, what device and wavelengths are used, what risks and eye protection are disclosed in writing, what happens if sessions do not help, and what a quote itemizes beyond the base price. Listing order here is not paid ranking, Featured slots are labeled and capped, Verified means a clinic completed credential checks rather than paid for the badge, and Regenerated.com is free for patients. Inclusion in this directory is not an endorsement of any provider's claims. Before comparing Nevada listings, read How to read a Regenerated city hub and Featured vs Verified vs organic.

Regulatory context

A note on Nevada's red light therapy rules.

The "other" category is a catchall for regenerative wellness modalities with inconsistent federal oversight. Red light therapy devices (photobiomodulation) have narrow FDA 510(k) clearances for acne, muscle pain, and wound healing, not systemic regeneration. Whole-body cryotherapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical indication and received an FDA safety communication in July 2016 warning of asphyxiation, frostbite, and burn risks. Ozone therapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical use and the FDA has stated ozone is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application. Condition-specific regenerative offerings (hair restoration with minoxidil or finasteride, ED care beyond PDE5 inhibitors and shockwave) have varying approval depending on route and drug source.

  • Nevada Medical Practice Act (NRS Ch. 630)
Defines practice of medicine and delegation rules for wellness settings.
  • Nevada Homeopathic Medical Practice Act (NRS Ch. 630A)
Licenses homeopathic physicians with scope including some integrative therapies.

The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners and the Board of Homeopathic Medical Examiners investigate unlicensed practice and scope violations at wellness clinics. Ozone and chelation clinics making disease-treatment claims risk board action. The Attorney General pursues deceptive health claims under the Nevada Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Enforcement is moderate with active attention to the Las Vegas medical spa and longevity market.

Red Light Therapy in , answered.

Most of the state's red light therapy supply sits in the Las Vegas area, with a smaller cluster around Reno and Washoe County. Rural Nevada and smaller cities such as Elko or Pahrump generally have little or no local supply. Someone outside Clark County or the Reno area should plan on a drive into one of those metros, and should factor that travel into how many sessions make sense before committing to a package.

Cost varies by setting, device and whether a clinician is involved, so this page does not publish an average. Wellness and cosmetic sessions are usually cash pay and rarely covered by insurance, while medical use inside a broader treatment plan may be billed differently. Ask any provider for a written quote that itemizes the session fee, any package pricing and add-on charges before you agree to anything.

Nevada has no rule written specifically for red light therapy, so the usual scope-of-practice rules decide who can run a session. A licensed esthetician can typically operate a device for a cosmetic or wellness purpose, while a physician, physician assistant, chiropractor or physical therapist may use it as part of a plan for a specific medical concern. Ask which category your session falls into before booking.

The Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners covers physicians and physician assistants, and the Nevada State Board of Nursing covers nurses and nurse practitioners; the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology covers estheticians working in wellness studios. Each board's lookup tool confirms whether a license is active and discloses public disciplinary history. None of them can tell you which device a studio uses or how a specific session will be run.

Whether to add red light therapy after platelet-rich plasma treatment depends on the specific protocol, the area treated and any medications or skin sensitivities involved. The clinician managing your PRP plan is best positioned to say whether adding sessions helps, does nothing, or should wait. Bring this question to that provider directly rather than assuming any wellness studio can answer it for your particular case.

This page compares providers across the whole state rather than one city, while a city page narrows to a single metro and the national red light therapy hub explains the treatment itself. A general web search mixes advertising, reviews and unrelated results without labeling how listings are ordered. Here, organic order is not paid ranking, and Featured and Verified are both defined rather than left to guesswork.

Featured slots are labeled on the page and limited in number, so they never crowd out the organic list. Verified means a clinic completed Regenerated.com's credential checks, not that it paid for the label. Organic placement is not sold to clinics. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and appearing on this list is not an endorsement of any clinic's claims about red light therapy.

Evidence for red light therapy varies by use: some device clearances cover narrow, specific purposes, while many of the broader wellness claims made around it remain thin or preliminary. A device's FDA clearance applies to the specific use it was cleared for, not to every benefit advertised alongside it. Discuss your particular goal with a clinician who can speak to the evidence for that specific use before starting a course of sessions.
