Ozone Therapy clinics in New York
This page currently lists clinics offering ozone therapy across New York, and supply is far from evenly spread across the state. The largest concentration sits in the New York City metro, where several practices advertise IV ozone therapy, including offices reachable from Manhattan. Smaller clusters exist around Buffalo, Rochester, Albany and on Long Island, with other metros carrying a handful of listings each. Across the rest of the state, from the North Country to the Southern Tier, options thin out considerably, and patients outside these metros should expect to travel, often a significant distance, to reach a clinic rather than assume one exists nearby.
Ozone therapy itself is treated under the general rules that govern medical practice in New York, so who may administer it, and under what supervision, depends on the standard scope of practice for physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners rather than any treatment-specific rule. Delivery typically happens in a physician's office, a medical spa or an integrative wellness setting, and the supervising clinician's training and oversight vary by location, so this is worth confirming directly rather than assuming from a clinic's marketing.
To verify a provider in New York, check the New York State Education Department's Office of the Professions for physician and physician assistant licensure, and the New York State Board for Nursing for nurse practitioners. A license check confirms standing and any public disciplinary history; it does not confirm that ozone therapy specifically is appropriate for your situation or performed a particular way. Before booking anywhere in the state, ask who administers the treatment, exactly what is infused or delivered and where any equipment or materials come from, how risks are disclosed in writing, what happens if the treatment does not help, and for a quote that itemizes consultation, testing, treatment and follow up separately.
How this list is ordered matters too. Listing order on Regenerated.com is not paid ranking, Featured placements are labeled and capped, and a Verified label means the clinic completed the credential checks described in our vetting materials, not that it paid for visibility. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion in this directory does not endorse any clinic or its claims.
For the proposed mechanisms and the current state of the evidence, see the national ozone therapy hub. To understand how this list and its labels work, read How to read a Regenerated city hub and Featured vs Verified vs organic.
Regulatory context
A note on New York's ozone therapy rules.
The "other" category is a catchall for regenerative wellness modalities with inconsistent federal oversight. Red light therapy devices (photobiomodulation) have narrow FDA 510(k) clearances for acne, muscle pain, and wound healing, not systemic regeneration. Whole-body cryotherapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical indication and received an FDA safety communication in July 2016 warning of asphyxiation, frostbite, and burn risks. Ozone therapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical use and the FDA has stated ozone is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application. Condition-specific regenerative offerings (hair restoration with minoxidil or finasteride, ED care beyond PDE5 inhibitors and shockwave) have varying approval depending on route and drug source.
-
New York Education Law Article 131 (Practice of Medicine)
Defines practice of medicine and strictly enforces corporate practice restrictions for medical spas. -
New York Business Corporation Law § 1503
Requires professional service corporations providing medical services to be owned exclusively by licensed physicians. -
NYS Department of Health Office of Professional Medical Conduct
Investigates physician misconduct including inappropriate delegation at medical spas.
New York is one of the strictest enforcement states. The Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC) has issued public guidance and pursued disciplinary action against medical spas for corporate practice violations, inappropriate RN or PA delegation, and false advertising of unapproved therapies. Ozone therapy faces heavy scrutiny, and clinics making cancer, Lyme, or autoimmune treatment claims have faced OPMC action and Attorney General consumer protection lawsuits. The NY AG pursues deceptive health claims aggressively under General Business Law Article 22-A.
