New York
New York's chelation therapy supply concentrates around the New York City metro, including Long Island and the lower Hudson Valley. Buffalo, Rochester, Albany and Syracuse each support a smaller but real supply upstate. Outside those metro areas, in the North Country, the Southern Tier and the Mohawk Valley, options thin out quickly, and residents often travel toward the nearest metro, or in border counties toward New Jersey, Connecticut or Pennsylvania.
Chelating agents are prescription drugs, so New York requires a clinician with prescribing authority to order and oversee treatment. Physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners can hold that authority under New York's scope of practice rules, and administration typically happens in a physician office or a dedicated infusion suite with monitoring equipment. A wellness or spa framing does not by itself tell you who is prescribing, administering or supervising a given infusion.
To verify a provider in New York, check physicians and physician assistants through the State Education Department's Office of the Professions, and check nurse practitioners and registered nurses through the State Board for Nursing. Both let you confirm an active license and review public disciplinary history. Neither check tells you whether chelation therapy is right for you; it only confirms the credential is current.
Before booking anywhere in the state, ask which drug will be used, where it comes from, and why it is recommended for you. Ask who supervises the infusion, how risks such as kidney strain or mineral imbalance are disclosed in writing, and what happens if treatment does not help. Request a written quote itemizing consultation, medication, administration and lab monitoring, since bundled pricing can hide costs.
How a clinic appears here is not a paid ranking: organic order reflects the site's own criteria, not payment. A small number of Featured slots are labeled and capped so they cannot crowd out the list. Verified means the clinic completed the credential checks described in Regenerated.com's vetting process, not that it spent more. The directory is free for patients, and being listed is not an endorsement of any clinic.
The national chelation therapy hub covers how the treatment works and what the evidence supports across different conditions. For help interpreting this list, read How to read a Regenerated city hub and Featured vs Verified vs organic.
Regulatory context
The FDA has approved a narrow set of chelating agents for specific heavy metal toxicities. Calcium disodium edetate (CaNa2EDTA, Versenate) is approved for symptomatic lead poisoning, succimer (Chemet, DMSA) for pediatric lead poisoning at blood lead levels above 45 mcg/dL, deferoxamine (Desferal) and deferasirox (Exjade) for chronic iron overload, and dimercaprol (BAL) for arsenic, gold, and acute lead poisoning. Use of EDTA chelation for cardiovascular disease was studied in the NIH-funded TACT trial (2013) with controversial findings and remains not FDA-approved for that indication. Chelation for autism spectrum disorder is not evidence-based and has been linked to pediatric deaths. The FDA issued a 2010 sweep of warning letters to compounders marketing OTC chelation products with unapproved disease claims.
The New York State Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC) has investigated chelation practitioners for marketing claims tied to autism and cardiovascular disease. New York does not license NDs. New York City and the surrounding areas have a large integrative medicine community. New York has historically been one of the more aggressive states on enforcement against off-label chelation marketing, particularly for pediatric autism. The 2005 Pittsburgh pediatric chelation death prompted heightened New York scrutiny.
