About this clinic

Active Path Mental Health, a ketamine and psychedelic-assisted therapy clinic in Portland, specializes in treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, and PTSD through evidence-based protocols. The clinic offers ketamine therapy alongside transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), both of which target neurobiology in ways distinct from conventional pharmaceutical approaches. Treatment is individualized following a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, and patients receive clinical support throughout the course of therapy. The practice positions itself as an option for patients who have not responded adequately to standard antidepressant medication or who seek alternatives that work through different neurochemical pathways. I recommend TMS therapy to anyone struggling. However, I encourage you to seek another facility. In my experience, the practitioners are not concerned with the mental health of their patients. Pros: The technician Ash was the light of this experience. They were kind, informative, encouraging, and knowledgable about how to operate the machine. Cons: It was VERY hard to get in touch with the practitioner when I needed to. Dr. Raj recommended I come for 10 additional sessions because I was "on the cusp" of seeing real change, and then I didn't hear back from them. It has been weeks. I have reached out multiple times. It's so disheartening to have been so compliant on my end, yet be ignored by the facility and practitioners. I also was pretty put-off by how many times they cancelled my appointments (misunderstanding, weather (other practitioners remained open, broken machine, etc.) I am reasonable and understand things happen outside of their control, but I was very underwhelmed with the lack of problem solving to get me any make up sessions. Again, TMS holds hope for many I strongly encourage those seeking to follow through- I just recommend you find a place that cares for their patients, rather than creating more stress during a difficult time in their life.

If you're considering TMS treatment, I HIGHLY recommend the Tigard location of Active Path. Every single person I came into contact with is very kind, and professional. They understand mental health and how it affects your life. They're flexible with rescheduling, and communicate quite often.

I just can't over recommend Active Recovery TMS. I went to the Tigard location, and they couldn't have been more compassionate and professional. Even if I hadn't had a remission of depression symptoms - I did! - the experience was excellent all throughout. TMS gave me back the ability to be a happy, growing, peaceful woman, learning how to make good decisions for the first time in my life. I'm so very grateful.
