The billing department at Best Mind is so incredibly hard to work with to the point where when I asked for a payment history they would not provide it for me. They told me I had no payment plan set up and when I told them I had a reoccurring charge monthly thats when they said I had one. Incredibly frustrated with the fact that I had to call the billing department only for them to be both inaccurate and unable to provide me with any receipts. I am not confident in Best Mind to bill me correctly and will not be continuing service due to fear of mismanagement and inaccuracy in billing.

My current provider will no longer be covered by OHP. So I reached out to BestMind since they are on the list of covered providers. I have already been diagnosed and am managing my condition well with with prescription meds. I told BestMind I just needed someone who could continue that regimen so I could continue managing my condition. Before my appointment I had all my records sent over and filled out their questionnaire thoroughly. The provider I spoke to refused to honor my diagnosis and said I would need to take a test (which has no scientific backing as a diagnostic tool in and of itself) in addition to our intake appointment. The test would require me to go off my meds for multiple days to assess my baseline state. I told the provider I was frustrated because I spent decades undiagnosed, not knowing what was wrong it me, and diagnosis/treatment changed my life. Without my meds I go right back to insomnia and panic attacks (it's not a fun time for me). At no time did she display empathy, but instead was clearly irritated with me and doing a poor job of masking it. I was never rude during the entire call but I was firm that I did not want to go off my meds. She refused to budge so I told her I would not be taking the test and would rather pay for my current provider out of pocket than get covered care from BestMind. In addition to that it was also clear she had not read any of my intake forms. She straight up missed several major details in my history during our call. In fact, all she did was make me read through the form with her line by line, checkbox by checkbox (yes, all of them). A few weeks later I get a letter in the mail that my condition is too acute for BestMind to treat and that I should try the emergency room or inpatient psychiatric care. I have zero negative symptoms currently and have not had any for the last 18 months since starting medication for my diagnosed condition. I am not an acute patient. I just need someone who is covered by OHP to prescribe my medication. This whole experience was demeaning and insulting and a waste of my time and OHP's money.

My review is for the Salem Best Mind Behavioral Clinic. They have treatments that are directed towards people who have medication resistant depression and/or anxiety. Though it isn’t for everyone, nor for every insurance, the opportunity to experience a new type of relief from discomfort is incredible!! Abraham, is the personal mental health specialist who is my guide through the process. He also does follow up post treatment at 3,6 months and at later times as needed. He is Key to dealing with fears about the treatment. He assesses the potential and successes you are experiencing. He also aids in showing you how to understand where you are on your own scale of mental health. The Salem Office staff is very helpful, flexible and pleasant. Shout out to Victoria - she is a consummate professional and I would recommend her to anyone. The Salem office offered two treatments when I attended: TMS (Temporal Magnetic Stimulation) & Spravato (Nasally administered medically supervised ketamine treatment) For my symptoms I received TMS. I had and continue to have Very good results. Where chronic pain would consume my “self”; I still am finding joy in life. I recommend whole heartedly this treatment. I’ve experienced a total therapeutic transformation through this treatment. If my review can help just one of you reading this, then that is amazing too!!
