I cannot recommend Mary DuBose Counseling and Consulting highly enough. She has always made me feel heard and genuinely supported. She creates the safest and most non-judgmental space where it’s easy to open up and work through challenges! She is encouraging and genuinely cares whole-heartedly. For many of us the decision to seek help is immense. If you are reading this, you’re asking yourself, how am I going to find the best counselor for me? Mary is a very warm person. It is easy for her to make you feel relaxed and you want to share with her. On the second visit, it was evident Mary was doing homework for this next session, brought a couple of books which she read from and carefully explained concepts to consider. She has a wealth of knowledge, is very perceptive and compassionate. Mary is determined to help you move forward. She will question you, challenge you and for me, I’m always looking forward to the next session knowing I’ll be leaving with something else to think about or a concept to hold on to because it helped! The best counselor for you is one that cares about you and your life and is able to feel pain with you. I know there are many great counselors out there who care.
