I was very impressed by Dr. Ian Gao, MD at Carolina Orthopedics & Neurosurgical Associates at my first appointment. All staff were very friendly while I was waiting in the doctor’s office room. He was very informative and helpful! The staff when leaving the office was friendly also. The pain in my knee is much better today than yesterday, although it may take another 24 hour’s to feel even better after getting my shot yesterday. I would definitely recommend Dr Ian Gao!

Dr. Ian Gao, MD is an exceptional physician. He performed my shoulder surgery, and everything—from the procedure to the medical staff—was excellent. What truly stood out to me was that he personally called me the day after surgery to check on my recovery, which shows his genuine care and dedication to his patients. In addition to his professionalism and expertise, he has outstanding bedside manner and genuine compassion. I highly recommend Dr. Gao.

Dr Gao is wonderful! He's very open and honest about my options with my shoulder, gives me his recommendations, but allows me to have a say-so as well. If you're having any type of shoulder issues don't hesitate to visit this doctor and gentleman. He's outstanding in my book.
