Forum Health Cary

I discovered Forum Health back in 2022, and it has been life changing for me. They helped me through menopause - I really don’t know what I would have done without them. I also did some weight loss treatments. I lost about 20 lbs in 2022 and have not gained anything back. I am currently doing Wolverine peptide treatments. I rate them five stars for everything. Shelly and Michelle are both wonderful. Forum Health is well run and interactions and appointments are easy. The staff members are highly knowledgeable and friendly at the same time. I trust Shelly with all things medical - she is awesome. I highly recommend!

I am so happy to have found this clinic. Finally a place that is person- oriented the way doctors offices used to be! I had been missing Womens Birth & Wellness in Chapel Hill. So nice to feel confident in the care I am getting again! Staff seem to enjoy their work and are genuinely friendly. Service providers take their time with you and really listen. Whew! And yes it's out of pocket, but not excessive at all and you can also submit your bill for reimbursement by insurance. Or work with a lab your insurance takes. It's totally worth it. And by the way, Carolyn Leitzell, my provider is so knowledgeable about HRT and really thorough, and does a great job of listening and eliciting helpful info. I highly recommend her and it is because of her that I found this clinic when she changed jobs. A good spot!

Forum Health Cary is unsafe. I would highly recommend you go elsewhere for help with hormones / peri / menopause. Both my mom and I went here for several months and we both had bad experiences. I'll start with mine. I received the wrong dosage of testosterone in my injection. Forum did call to let me know, and luckily is was too little instead of too much, but obviously doesn't instill confidence that a major error like this could occur and easily could have been a dangerous situation. My mom had an even scarier experience here. She gets the hormone pellets every few months and she wasn't feeling well after a few doses with Forum so she went to her OBGYN to get her thoughts and see if her symptoms could be related to the pellets. Her doctor did bloodwork and her testosterone was over 170 AFTER 6 months + from her last pellet. That is extremely high and we can only imagine how high it was in the month or two immediately after receiving the pellet. Her doctor advised her to stop all treatment with Forum as she was concerned for her health and the dangers of too much or incorrectly balanced hormones. It's important to note that neither my mom nor I ever saw an MD at Forum. In addition to feeling unsafe with the care here, I also feel like they severely overcharge for services. For example, they made me purchase plain progesterone pills from a compounding pharmacy and have them mailed to me at a hefty price, when I could have gotten them from CVS and my insurance would've paid most of the cost and been significantly cheaper for me. They also ran my mom's bloodwork at their office rather than at Labcorp where she usually went. She was shocked when the bill was hundreds and hundreds of dollars for routine blood work when she had been paying $50 at Labcorp for the same work. They didn't tell her upfront the cost, so she naturally assumed the fee would be inline with Labcorp. Huge mistake. I feel like this office is not safe and would highly recommend you look elsewhere for care, like your OBGYN or Midi. Your care should be safer and the prices will be much better since they both take insurance.
