Houston, TX
If you searched for chelation therapy near Spring, Texas, start by looking at the wider Houston metro rather than Spring alone. Clinics offering chelation therapy in this area cluster around a few corridors: physician offices and infusion suites near the Texas Medical Center, integrative and wellness practices in the Galleria and Uptown area, and a scattering of offices along the north side I-45 corridor that serves Spring, The Woodlands, and Tomball. Katy and Cypress cover the western suburbs, while Sugar Land and Pearland serve patients south and southwest of downtown. If you live in Spring, a short drive down I-45 toward the Woodlands or into central Houston usually opens up more options than staying strictly local.
Locally, chelation therapy is typically given in a physician's office, a medical infusion suite, or a wellness studio, and the setting alone does not tell you who is administering it. Chelating agents are prescription drugs, so the person ordering and supervising treatment needs prescribing authority. A first visit usually includes a health history review and a discussion of what the clinician proposes to use and why; follow up normally involves ongoing monitoring rather than a fixed, publishable number of sessions.
Before booking, ask which license the treating clinician holds, what exactly will be administered and where it is sourced, and how risks such as kidney strain or mineral shifts are disclosed in writing. Ask what happens if the treatment does not produce the change you are hoping for, and request a quote that separates assessment, medication, administration, lab work, and follow up rather than one bundled figure.
How this page orders clinics matters too. Organic order on Regenerated.com is not sold, Featured slots are labeled and capped rather than open ended, and Verified means the clinic completed credential checks, not that it paid for placement. Regenerated.com is free for patients to use, and appearing in this directory is not an endorsement of any clinic's claims.
The national chelation therapy hub covers the mechanism and the evidence behind different uses in more depth. For help interpreting what you see on this page, read How to read a Regenerated city hub and Featured vs Verified vs organic.
Regulatory context
The FDA has approved a narrow set of chelating agents for specific heavy metal toxicities. Calcium disodium edetate (CaNa2EDTA, Versenate) is approved for symptomatic lead poisoning, succimer (Chemet, DMSA) for pediatric lead poisoning at blood lead levels above 45 mcg/dL, deferoxamine (Desferal) and deferasirox (Exjade) for chronic iron overload, and dimercaprol (BAL) for arsenic, gold, and acute lead poisoning. Use of EDTA chelation for cardiovascular disease was studied in the NIH-funded TACT trial (2013) with controversial findings and remains not FDA-approved for that indication. Chelation for autism spectrum disorder is not evidence-based and has been linked to pediatric deaths. The FDA issued a 2010 sweep of warning letters to compounders marketing OTC chelation products with unapproved disease claims.
The Texas Medical Board has investigated chelation practitioners for marketing claims tied to autism and cardiovascular disease. Texas does not license NDs. Texas has a large integrative medicine community in Dallas, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. The Texas Medical Board has historically been active in disciplining practitioners for off-label chelation marketing without adequate informed consent. The 2005 Pittsburgh pediatric chelation death informs Texas board expectations for pediatric protocols and use of the correct EDTA salt.
