IV Therapy clinics in Texas
Texas IV therapy clinics concentrate heavily around the state's largest metros. Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio carry most of the supply, with additional pockets along the I-35 corridor connecting Austin to San Antonio and in parts of the Rio Grande Valley. Patients outside those metros, in West Texas, the Panhandle, or far South Texas away from the Valley, often travel sixty miles or more to reach a clinic offering IV therapy, and some drive to a neighboring metro rather than wait for an option closer to home.
Texas does not have a treatment-specific statute governing wellness IV therapy. The general rules are the ones that already apply to medicine and nursing: a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner typically orders the infusion after an assessment, and a registered nurse or other licensed professional administers it under that order. Whether the setting is a physician's office, a freestanding infusion suite, or a wellness spa changes little about who must supervise the infusion; it changes a lot about how closely that supervision is maintained day to day, so ask directly.
Verify any prescriber through the Texas Medical Board, and any nurse through the Texas Board of Nursing. Both let you confirm an active license and check for disciplinary history, though neither can tell you how a specific clinic runs its assessments or sources its ingredients. Before booking anywhere in the state, ask who assesses you, what is actually in the bag and where it was compounded, how risks and reactions are disclosed in writing, what happens if the infusion does not help, and for a quote that itemizes the assessment, the infusion, and any add-ons separately.
This list's order is not for sale: organic ranking is not purchased, Featured placement is labeled and capped, and a Verified badge reflects completed credential checks rather than advertising spend. Regenerated.com remains free for patients, and inclusion here is not an endorsement of any clinic. The national IV therapy hub covers how intravenous treatment works and what the evidence supports. Regulatory context
A note on Texas's iv therapy rules.
FDA regulates the compounded ingredients used in IV therapy and the facilities that prepare them. Patient-specific compounded IVs fall under FDCA Section 503A, while bulk preparations for office use fall under Section 503B (outsourcing facilities). USP Chapter 797 governs sterile compounding standards. FDA has issued warnings about injectable glutathione marketed for skin lightening (2017) and has not approved NAD IV for any specific indication. Vitamin and mineral IV mixtures such as the Myers cocktail are compounded preparations and are not FDA-approved drug products.
-
Texas Nursing Practice Act (Tex. Occ. Code Ch. 301)
Defines RN scope including IV insertion and administration under a valid order from a physician or APRN. -
Texas Medical Board delegation rules (Tex. Occ. Code Ch. 157)
Governs physician delegation of IV therapy through standing orders and medical director arrangements.
The Texas medical and nursing boards have addressed unlicensed practice in medical spa and IV lounge settings. Common enforcement themes include IV therapy administered without a valid physician order, stale or missing standing orders, absence of a designated medical director, and unlicensed personnel performing venipuncture. Boards have reiterated that a prescribing physician or APRN must establish a bona fide patient relationship before any IV protocol is initiated, and that standing orders must be specific, dated, and periodically reviewed. The Texas Medical Board has disciplined physicians serving as medical directors for IV lounges without establishing bona fide patient relationships, and Texas strictly enforces the corporate practice of medicine doctrine.
