Virginia
Virginia's capacity for ed treatment is not spread evenly across the state. Most of it sits in Northern Virginia, including Fairfax County and the wider Washington, D.C. suburbs, along with the Richmond metro area and the Hampton Roads region around Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Northern Virginia carries an outsized share because of its population density and proximity to the D.C. market, so providers cluster across that broader corridor rather than inside one city's borders, and this page lists clinics serving the whole state rather than one city. Outside these three metro areas, in the Shenandoah Valley, Southside, and far Southwest Virginia, options thin out, and patients there often travel toward Richmond or Roanoke, or sometimes toward a neighboring state, to reach a provider.
Virginia does not set a rule specific to ed treatment beyond the general federal and professional standards that apply nationwide. Who may administer or supervise it follows ordinary scope of practice: physicians and physician assistants are licensed and disciplined by the Virginia Board of Medicine, and nurses by the Virginia Board of Nursing, both operating under the Virginia Department of Health Professions. Most ed treatment in Virginia is delivered in a physician's office, a urology or men's health practice, or a wellness clinic, and the setting affects who is actually in the room and how closely any medication, injection, or device is supervised.
Before booking anywhere in Virginia, confirm the clinician's license status with the relevant board, which will show whether a license is active and whether there is a disciplinary history, though it will not tell you how good a fit a clinic is for you. Ask what is being administered, where it comes from, and what happens if treatment does not help, and get any risk disclosures in writing. Request a quote that itemizes evaluation, testing, treatment, and follow-up separately, since this page does not publish prices and much of this care is cash pay. The order clinics appear in below is not sold, Featured placements are labeled and capped, Verified reflects completed credential checks rather than advertising spend, and Regenerated.com is free for patients; being listed here is not an endorsement of any provider. Regulatory context
The "other" category is a catchall for regenerative wellness modalities with inconsistent federal oversight. Red light therapy devices (photobiomodulation) have narrow FDA 510(k) clearances for acne, muscle pain, and wound healing, not systemic regeneration. Whole-body cryotherapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical indication and received an FDA safety communication in July 2016 warning of asphyxiation, frostbite, and burn risks. Ozone therapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical use and the FDA has stated ozone is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application. Condition-specific regenerative offerings (hair restoration with minoxidil or finasteride, ED care beyond PDE5 inhibitors and shockwave) have varying approval depending on route and drug source.
The Virginia Department of Health Professions and Board of Medicine investigate unlicensed practice and scope violations. Ozone and chelation clinics making disease-treatment claims risk board action. The Attorney General pursues deceptive health claims under the Virginia Consumer Protection Act. Enforcement is moderate and complaint-driven with attention to Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads markets.
