I heard about Spacebar Wellness through a girlfriend and decided to take advantage of their flight package (which is an amazing deal by the way)! So far I’ve enjoyed a red light therapy session and two cold plunge/sauna sessions with my partner. We tried to experience as many different rooms as possible and I can confidently say, they’re all wonderful! My first visit to the studio was actually on a maintenance day (my mistake 😅), and one of the owners, Andrew, still welcomed me, gave me a tour and shared the intention behind the space. That kindness left a great impression. The rooms are always spotless and set with towels, water and a timer. Each sauna has Bluetooth connectivity so you can pair your phone to listen to music/podcast. Every time I leave this place, I feel grounded and restored. If you’re looking for a place to step away from all the stress and chaos, this is the place!

Recently went to this establishment. Had 3 memorable inconveniences in my experience with it. I booked the moon suite for $70 and was confused about the guest option. I was confused if the $70 fee was for the booking of the suite and if my partner needed to pay as well. I am NOT a member by the way, so this "guest" verbiage is already confusing to begin with. Technically, aren't non members guests? And so i called ahead asking if my partner needs to pay an additional fee and the person said no. The $70 is inclusive of both me and my partner. We went in person to check in and we had to pay an additional $25 for it, not ideal. Feels like we got tricked. Secondly, as we get settled in, the door to the sauna would NOT open. It was jammed. Okay no problem. Let's not use excessive force to open the GLASS door. Let's ask the front desk. Problem is: there is NO one there. For the next 5-10minutes, NO one is at the desk. Mind you, we paid for an hour so a small mishap like this has lasting consequences in our experience. NO one is able to help us open the sauna door and it was only after some careful tinkering of the door when we were able to FINALLY open it. This is already a huge safety hazard and not having an employee present is a huge liability. This whole ordeal took 15 minutes of our time. LASTLY, we were abruptly interrupted at the end of our session where we were rushed out of the room because there was another session right after ours and they needed time to flip the room. I've been to other wellness centers like this and they ALWAYS gave us a 5-10 minute notice before our session ended. My peaceful experience ended with a sense of urgency and pressure. I would not personally come back to this. First off, be transparent and honest about your prices. Don't give out false information, please. Second, be present or have some bell/alerting system available. Thirdly, give a 5-10minute notice of the session ending.

I’ve tried a handful of the sauna spaces around Seattle and the Eastside, but this particular space appealed to me due to how community oriented they are. I’ve done three sauna sessions - two with the cold plunge, and one with the red light. Each was soothing and enjoyable, with great amenities and engagement / education via staff. The founder also seems like a great guy, and was informed and supportive in a conversation about how women can benefit from a different approach to cold plunging, and how building nervous system resilience takes intentional effort and time. Beyond sauna rentals, they offer breathwork coaching during sessions, which I’m looking forward to trying out. The monthly community events seem like a great opportunity to connect with likeminded people as well. This space truly has so much to offer! I’m grateful to be spending time there.
