Update:
Came back for my third treatment of the Ring Dinger - the whole process had been amazing. We already have a primary Chiro for the past 12+ years (we live 1 hour away) and this supplemental treatment has been so worth it. Dr. Pond and his team are great.
This treatment protocol has really helped my locked-up low back. Dr. Pond is also thorough in sending you exercises and movements that help keep the progress, because the adjustment is only a part of the solution.
I’ll be back regularly and integrate this with my current Chiro program. If you are in the W Seattle area - I would highly recommend that you make SMNW your Chiro of choice!!!
I cannot say enough good things about
Dr. Skylar W. Pond at Sports Medicine Northwest. After being hit by a car over a year ago, I had been living with constant back pain that affected my sleep, my daily life, and my hope of ever feeling normal again. I had tried many different treatments and even spinal decompression before, but nothing truly helped. I honestly started to believe this pain was something I would just have to live with.
From the moment Dr. Pond took me in, everything changed. He genuinely listened to my story, my struggles, and my concerns. He didn’t rush me, dismiss me, or treat me like just another patient He treated me like a human being who truly needed help and healing.
I used his decompression machine and will continue to use other services he recommended he offered.
For the first time in over a year, I woke up without pain. That alone brought me to tears. After everything I had tried that didn’t work, experiencing real relief felt nothing short of a miracle.
What truly sets Dr. Pond apart is his heart. He truly cares about his patients and genuinely wants to see them heal, not just temporarily mask the pain. We worked together to create a care plan that made sense for my situation, and when I couldn’t afford treatment, he still helped me.
That kind of compassion is rare. He went above and beyond in ways most doctors don’t.
Dr. Skylar W. Pond was truly a God send in my life. His kindness, understanding, and willingness to help others is something I will never forget. This experience has been life-changing, and I am beyond grateful for him and his amazing staff. Every single person there made me feel welcomed, supported, and cared for.
I look forward to going back to Dr. Pond once I receive my settlement, and I cannot recommend him enough. If you are dealing with pain, feeling hopeless, or searching for a provider who actually cares about your healing (Dr. Skylar W. Pond) is the one.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Dr. Pond and the entire Sports Medicine Northwest team.
God bless 🙌

I had a shoulder/forearm injury that bothered me for almost a decade. During my move to Seattle my problem got aggravated. Found this practice and let me tell you, they are THE BEST. Skylar is beyond knowledgeable and knows movement like very few. They are not the cheapest, but cheap is expensive. It’s been a year since I got treated by them and I am 99% better. I could probably achieve 100% if I continued my treatment, but unfortunately had to move back to DC. Oh almost forgot the acupuncture, also fantastic. Seriously, cannot recommend them enough!

I give this 2 stars only because he does seem knowledgeable but made a bad judgement call.
This is a heads up to everyone wanting to try the Ring Dinger.
This procedure set me back in so many ways.
First of all, it’s not covered by insurance, they didn’t tell me that. So I got hit with $200 bill after my visit.
Second, terrible experience with the ring dinger technique. This was my first initial visit in the office and I won’t be going back. I went in for a herniation and to learn about PRP, the ring dinger and everything else they had to offer as well as do an initial assessment to see if they could help. I did a phone call assessment before coming in to talk about my issues and was told it sounded like I was on the right track but we’d talk more once I was in the office. I went in for an evaluation and what I was told would be some light decompression to see how my body responded before throwing me on the ring dinger table. That’s not what happened and I regret not speaking up.
I felt like I was just another sale. We did some work on the drop table, some reflex and mobility checks, without telling me what he found after doing the assessment and then I was put on the ring dinger table. No light decompression was done to see how my body reacted first. Just straight to it. And my body hated it. I was making great progress, as he mentioned too, and this set me back. My nerve pain was improving and this procedure caused it to flare up and create more numbness/tingling in my leg. My neck has felt weak and I have so many knots in it now. Sharp, stabbing headaches for the past 2 weeks. I felt ill within 10 minutes of having the ring dinger done and threw up multiple times. It’s been two weeks and I’m still trying to get back on track after this.
Would never recommend this to anyone.

Super grateful for Dr. Pond. This was my first time meeting him and my first visit to SMNW. I am a consistent chiropractic patient as we go every weekend to Edmonds Family Chiropractic and Dr. Matt and team. What I appreciate greatly about Dr. Pond is his collaborative nature and eagerness to get to know me. Not in a way to sell me, but to understand my movement, history, and mind set. As a consistent patient with other Chiros, I can say Dr. Pond, just from observing and experiencing his process for the first time, is a top level, elite practitioner, but is humble and open for dialogue, and he listens.
I was there for the Ring Dinger, and it was nothing short of an awesome and significant release for my low back tension. My current chiropractor, who also is collaborative in approach, suggested I give this a try. It did not disappoint.
I will still continue to go to Edmonds Family Chiropractic (because I think they are the best), but Dr. Pond and his team will now be a part of my health plan. I drove almost an hour from Snohomish county, it was well worth it.
Thank you, Dr. Pond. Thank you to the staff of SMNW. You have earned a new patient! If you are anywhere near Dr. Pond; I highly recommend you make them a foundational part of your health plan.
