Washington
Sleep apnea treatment in Washington is concentrated in a handful of metro areas rather than spread evenly across the state. The Puget Sound corridor, including Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, and Everett, carries most of the state's sleep medicine capacity, and CPAP therapy is widely available there. Spokane anchors a smaller cluster serving Eastern Washington, and the Tri-Cities and Yakima area carry some additional capacity. Outside those metros, in the rural Olympic Peninsula, the North Cascades region, and much of rural Eastern Washington, direct sleep apnea care is thin. Patients from those areas often drive to the nearest metro, and near Vancouver, some cross the river into the Portland, Oregon metro instead.
Washington has no sleep apnea law that sets it apart from most other states. Physicians, including pulmonologists, otolaryngologists, and sleep medicine specialists, typically order and supervise sleep apnea care, and licensed respiratory care practitioners are often involved in CPAP setup and titration. Dentists in Washington can fit and manage oral appliances for sleep apnea, and advanced registered nurse practitioners may evaluate and treat patients within their licensed scope, often in collaboration with a physician. Care is usually delivered through a physician's office or an accredited sleep center rather than a general wellness setting.
Before booking anywhere in Washington, you can check a physician's license and disciplinary history with the Washington Medical Commission, a dentist's license with the Dental Quality Assurance Commission, and a nurse practitioner's license with the Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission. A clean record confirms licensure and shows whether formal action has been taken against someone; it does not tell you whether a clinic is the right fit for you. Ask any clinic what exactly they are proposing, who is supervising the care, how risks are disclosed in writing, and what a quote itemizes before you agree to anything.
This page lists clinics across the whole state. Organic order is not for sale, Featured slots are labeled and limited in number, and a Verified label means a clinic completed credential checks, not that it paid for visibility. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and being listed is not an endorsement of any clinic. For how sleep apnea treatment works and what the evidence supports, see the national treatment hub. For more on how listings and labels work across the site, read How to read a Regenerated city hub and Featured vs Verified vs organic.
Regulatory context
The "other" category is a catchall for regenerative wellness modalities with inconsistent federal oversight. Red light therapy devices (photobiomodulation) have narrow FDA 510(k) clearances for acne, muscle pain, and wound healing, not systemic regeneration. Whole-body cryotherapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical indication and received an FDA safety communication in July 2016 warning of asphyxiation, frostbite, and burn risks. Ozone therapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical use and the FDA has stated ozone is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application. Condition-specific regenerative offerings (hair restoration with minoxidil or finasteride, ED care beyond PDE5 inhibitors and shockwave) have varying approval depending on route and drug source.
The Washington Medical Commission and Board of Naturopathy investigate unlicensed practice and scope violations. Ozone and chelation clinics making disease-treatment claims risk board action. The Attorney General pursues deceptive health claims under the Washington Consumer Protection Act with an active public health litigation track record. Enforcement is moderate to strict.
