$12,000 for False Hope: Promised Neuropathy Healing, Got Nothing but Excuses... I visited Asuta Health in Overland Park after seeing their Facebook ads claiming they could heal foot neuropathy. During my initial visit, Dr. Stephens said he could reverse the burning, stabbing, and numbness in my feet. Based on a so-called “assessment” (poking my foot with a sharp object, touching it with something cold), I was told I was a good candidate and that they only accept patients they can truly help. I was required to sign a contract and pay $12,000 upfront for a program that included supplements, 3 pieces of home equipment, and 12 office sessions. After payment, I was handed off to a subordinate, Dr. Stoss. I rarely saw Dr. Stephens after that. The office visits started every week, then were gradually spaced farther apart. The daily home routine required 2 hours a day, 1 in the AM and 1 in the PM. After 3 months there was no improvement. I was told, “It takes time.” This same line was repeated every few months for an entire year. There was never any measurable progress—only constant reassurance that healing was “coming.” What makes this especially disturbing is the hope they sell. They confidently promise reversal of neuropathy, take a very large sum of money, then shift responsibility to time, patience, and faith when nothing works. That is not treatment—that is moving the goalposts. Also, the receptionist was consistently rude, rarely returned calls after I left multiple messages, and office hours are inconvenient and erratic. I came in after 3 years of pain, trusting their claims. I left a year later with the same symptoms, $12,000 gone, and the realization that I had been sold false hope. I strongly warn anyone with neuropathy to think very carefully before trusting the promises made by this clinic.

Dr. Loren Liming is the most amazing chiropractor I have ever been to. From the very first visit, he took a genuine interest in exactly what I needed as an individual, and formulated a specific plan tailored to me. I was born with a club foot and it has caused me a lot of pain, which has therefore always made me anxious about letting anyone touch it, because they always move it wrongly and hurt me. Dr. Loren is the only person who has ever made me comfortable about it, and he has adjusted my foot multiple times now without ever hurting me, which feels like a miracle! When I first started going, I couldn't stand up straight and couldn't touch my toes, but now I have full mobility back and seeing him every week keeps me able to work out and move much better on my own. Dr. Loren and his wife Kiley are spectacular people, and bonus: they have an adorable baby who makes appearances sometimes! They were even sweet enough to send a Thanksgiving card! Everyone at Virtue Chiropractic is awesome and takes wonderful care of their patients. My fiancé loves them, too, and now so does my mom! Dr. Loren is taking excellent care of her since she was in an accident a couple of weeks ago. Virtue is THE place for your whole family's chiropractic care. 20/10, most definitely recommend!!

My appointment was straight to the point. The office staff was friendly and professional, my screening was easy and done with care. The young lady that gave me my screening made me feel at ease and she was knowledgeable about my neuropathy concerns.
