I’ve had an incredible experience at Carolina Longevity. Since starting, I’ve lost 30 pounds, built muscle, and significantly increased my strength. The training is personalized and effective, and I truly feel stronger and healthier than I have in years.
The equipment is brand new and always spotless, which makes every session feel professional and high-quality. I also really appreciate the private training sessions — it creates a focused, comfortable environment without distractions.
What really sets them apart is their innovative concept of integrating fitness with a primary care approach to health. It’s refreshing to see a team focused on longevity and overall wellness, not just workouts. Highly recommend!

Carolina Longevity integrates a boutique medical practice with health, wellness and fitness for a one-stop-shop experience. I completed an initial assessment that included comprehensive lab work, DEXA scan, VO2 max, fitness test, physician, PT, movement and nutritionist consult. Based on my results, Dr. Schulteis and staff identified high priority opportunities and prepared a personalized plan that we put into practice right away, including a strength training program with Matt that has yielded several personal records in just a few months. I'll also soon be starting a PT program with Gabbi to support my marathon training, Facilities and equipment are state of the art. Overall, Staff are highly qualified and truly care about your well-being and success. The holistic and personalized experience at Carolina Longevity really set it apart.

Finally, a clinic focused on personalization and modern functional medicine.
I have had back pain for most of my life from competing in CrossFit, running, and doing triathlons. I tried stem cells, PRP, have visited multiple doctors, PT’s, and Chiropractors, but I’m finally making progress thanks to Carolina Longevity. Dr. Ryan designed a personalized treatment plan for me, worked with my schedule, and was upfront and competitive with pricing. They have dedicated far more time and energy to me than I paid for as they are always willing to go above and beyond in answering questions and finding solutions.
I can’t recommend this clinic enough if you are feeling like your health could be optimized in any way.

Carolina Longevity has given me my best results in my 5 + years of dedicated physical training.
As helpful context for the purposes of the review, I am male, almost 40, and mostly training for physique and body composition. I have used other Men’s health related services for bloodwork and consider myself well-informed and relatively experienced with intermediate to advanced health training (e.g. DEXA scans, blood work, dieting to build muscle, dieting to cut fat, weight training, tracking macros, vitamin supplementation, fitness tracking, etc.) All that to say, this is an area of my life in which I want to see meaningful results.
The intake process at CL started with a review of my goals, a VO2 max test, a DEXA scan, a physical fitness test, a PT evaluation, and a diet evaluation. Dr. Ryan emphasized a team approach to my training/treatment and we jointly decided on what was going to work best given my goals and my budget.
I wanted to build muscle. Dr. Ryan and Head Trainer (Matt Cialdini) took that desire seriously. But they also wanted to see progress in several of my other health metrics that lagged behind. For example, my bone density was quite low. And my V02 max results were pretty poor for my age.
See the results from my DEXA scan after my roughly three months of training. I added ten pounds of muscle (lean mass) and only added ~.7 pounds of fat. My body fat percentage (ratio of lean muscle to fat) actually decreased because I added so much muscle. I have been training for years and have never seen (or really even heard of) these kinds of results in so short a time span and in a man of my age.
Anecdotally, I’ve also become friends with patients whose sessions overlap with my own. Some are 20+ years my senior and have dropped significant weight through Anne’s diet monitoring, added muscle through Matt’s physical training, added mobility through Gabbie’s PT sessions, and added a host of what I’d paraphrase as "significant lifestyle improvements" through Dr. Ryan’s treatment management. One of the patients receives hormone and peptide therapy. The other does not.
I’ve seen both men and women, everyone from High School athletes to little old ladies. I’m glad to have found people who take my goals as seriously as I take them. And I’m especially glad that they clearly want to see me as fit (or more fit) at 60 as I am at 40.

I Highly Recommend Carolina Longevity!
Although I had always maintained a lifestyle of daily exercise, a healthy diet, and consistent sleep habits, I had never explored the proactive trend of medical wellness.
Concerned about a recent diagnosis of osteoporosis at age 78, and the prospect of going on traditional treatment medications, I was prompted to find a path focused on the evaluation and optimum maintenance of the body. By assessing the impact of my daily habits on overall well-being, maybe I could get my body primed for bone recovery and long-term health benefits.
Fortunately, I was referred to Carolina Longevity and Dr. Ryan Schulteis. As the medical director, he believes that to live your best life is to fine tune and balance the body’s components resulting in enhanced longevity and quality of life. My evaluation began with a full-body DXA scan, a low radiation look inside the body that measures its composition of lean muscle, fat distribution, and bone density. He patiently explained the testing and remained present during the quick scan. Dr. Schulteis thoroughly reviewed the results - which were quite surprising in their scope and specificity.
The results were encouraging. Although not advising the avoidance of standard osteoporosis treatments, he was optimistic that with strength training, increased protein and caloric intake, and continued hormone replacement therapy, my bone density could improve beyond the osteoporosis range.
To help me achieve my goals, Carolina Longevity has a stellar Professional team ready to help, with an onboard Physical Therapist, Massage Therapist, Registered Dietician, Gerontologist Nurse Practitioner and Athletic Trainers.
With a copy of the scan, and Dr. Schulteis’ evaluation noting my strengths and deficits, I was pumped to begin targeted workouts with resistance and weight bearing exercises, aimed at improving muscle imbalances and strength, as well as fortified bone health. The DXA scan and Dr Schulteis’ professional interpretation and advice validated my current lifestyle efforts and absolutely motivated me to achieve even better health for increased longevity.
