New York City, NY

Stem Cell Therapy clinics in New York City

Stem cell and orthobiologic care in New York City spans several settings that share one city label: Manhattan orthopedic towers, Brooklyn sports medicine suites, Queens cash-pay longevity clinics, and academic medical campuses. Manhattan care clusters along the Park Avenue corridor and Midtown East, Brooklyn around Park Slope, and Queens cash-pay studios in Flushing and Long Island City. Regenerative therapy in NYC is the same landscape under another name, since clinics use the two phrases interchangeably and the same scrutiny about tissue source and credentials applies either way. The phrase on the door often looks the same, but the cell source, protocol, and consent paperwork can all differ. A Hoboken or Long Island commute changes who books your follow-up imaging, not what is actually being injected.

Stem cell therapy is not one product. Tissue source, processing, who performs the injection, measured outcomes, and adverse-event handling all change what you are buying. A lobby claim of being "regenerative" is marketing language until you see the written protocol behind it.

Locally, care is usually delivered in a physician's office or a dedicated infusion suite, with a physician or a supervised clinician performing the procedure. A first visit typically covers a history and exam, a review of prior imaging when relevant, and a conversation about the specific product being proposed. Follow-up is generally a check-in visit or two to see how you are responding, not a fixed package of sessions.

Before booking, ask what tissue or cell source is being used, whether the protocol is same-day or culture-expanded, who supervises your care and what their credentials are, how adverse events are disclosed and handled, what a written quote includes versus what gets billed separately, and what the plan is if the treatment does not produce the result you hoped for. Prefer clinics that put this in writing rather than describing it verbally.

This hub lists directory clinics for New York City and stem cell therapy, and inclusion here is not an endorsement. Listing order is not paid ranking, Featured slots stay labeled and capped, Verified means credential checks rather than spend, and Regenerated.com remains free for patients to use.

Regulatory context

A note on New York's stem cell therapy rules.

New York cellular therapy is governed by 21 CFR Part 1271. Section 361 covers minimally manipulated HCT/Ps used for homologous use without premarket approval. Section 351 covers products that are more than minimally manipulated, used non-homologously, or combined with another article, and these require an IND for clinical use or a BLA for marketing. Most stem cell, stromal vascular fraction, and exosome therapies marketed in New York for orthopedic, neurologic, and longevity indications are Section 351 biologics that lack FDA approval. New York also operates a parallel state-level tissue regulation framework through the Department of Health.

  • New York Education Law Title 8, Article 131 (Practice of Medicine)
Establishes physician licensure through the State Education Department Office of the Professions and discipline through the Office of Professional Medical Conduct.
  • New York Public Health Law Article 43-B and 10 NYCRR Part 52
Requires tissue banks and providers handling HCT/Ps to be licensed by the New York State Department of Health, layering state oversight on top of FDA registration.
  • New York General Business Law Section 349
Empowers the Attorney General and private plaintiffs to pursue deceptive marketing claims against providers making unsupported clinical claims.

The FDA has issued warning letters to New York clinics offering stem cell and exosome therapies. The New York State Department of Health enforces additional tissue bank licensing requirements under 10 NYCRR Part 52, which means clinics handling HCT/Ps face dual federal and state inspection regimes. The Office of Professional Medical Conduct has disciplined physicians for unprofessional conduct including misleading regenerative medicine advertising. The New York Attorney General has used General Business Law Sections 349 and 350 to pursue stem cell clinics making unsupported clinical claims.

Stem Cell Therapy in New York City, answered.

Not by default. Across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the surrounding counties you will find orthopedic and sports-medicine groups, cash-pay longevity clinics, integrative practices, and academic centers, each using different products and protocols. Compare the cell or product source, who performs the procedure, the quality of the consent process, and what outcomes they actually measure.

Not as a rule. Cash-pay quotes vary by product, site of care, and add-ons, so a single average would mislead more than it would help. Regenerated only shows a pricing block when observed data clears an internal threshold, and omits dollar figures entirely when that data is missing rather than estimate one.

It does not. Organic ranking is not for sale, and any Featured or Sponsored slot is labeled and capped so it cannot rewrite the organic results beneath it. Verified status reflects credential checks, not a payment tier, and inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement of any single clinic.

Some New York City clinics market stem cell or exosome-based treatments for hair thinning alongside their orthopedic or longevity work, but this is generally an off-label, cash-pay use with thin published evidence. Ask specifically what is being injected into the scalp, how it differs from platelet-rich plasma, and what the clinic can show you in writing before assuming hair-specific results are proven.

Use this page for New York City listings filtered to this metro, along with context on where clinics cluster across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the nearby New Jersey and Long Island commuting areas. Use the national treatment hub for mechanism and evidence that is not specific to any city. Listing inclusion here reflects discovery, not FDA approval and not a ranking of clinical results.

Start with [How to read a Regenerated city hub](/guides/how-to-read-a-city-hub) for how counts, enrichment, and our honesty rules work. For what the labels themselves mean, read [Featured vs Verified vs organic](/guides/featured-vs-verified-vs-organic). Neither guide ranks clinics or promises an outcome.

Cost typically depends on the tissue or cell product used, whether it is processed off-site, the setting of care, and what is bundled into the visit versus billed separately, such as imaging or follow-up visits. Because stem cell therapy is largely cash pay and insurance rarely covers it, ask for a written itemized quote before booking rather than relying on a number quoted over the phone.

Exosome therapy uses cell-derived particles rather than living cells, so it is related but distinct, and it is worth asking a clinic which one it actually offers. Some New York City practices market stem cell or exosome treatments for diabetes-related complications or chronic back pain, but evidence for these specific uses remains limited, and most such care falls outside FDA-approved indications, so weigh any outcome claims with caution.
