He took me on as a patient because I was in dire straits. I’m a complicated patient with multiple hormonal issues. I was already on HRT (female) for years but based on my numbers, he felt it would be best to change estrogen and progesterone routes and add testosterone. He’s the doctor so I listened. I had a very rough time with the transition to all this at once so I was reaching out for help. After few days of getting no response, I took it upon myself to order my own labs. Testosterone was through the roof. When I finally got a hold of him, he was angry that 1) I had my own labs drawn and 2) I spoke to another doctor. What was I supposed to do? According to him, I was to hold on for 3 months until our follow up. So he discharged me. Leaving me on all the changes that eventually led to my thyroid being out of control and my sex hormone binding globulin extremely high Come to find out my starting dose of testosterone was too high. I have been since scrambling to get real help to get all this straightened. He may be good for men and testosterone but if you are complex, I don’t recommend.
