About this clinic

US Wound Care & Hyperbaric Centers, a specialty practice in Lewisville, Texas, focuses on chronic and non-healing wounds, with particular emphasis on limb salvage and preservation of function. The clinic offers Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) as a primary treatment modality, which delivers pressurized oxygen to support tissue repair and healing in compromised wound environments. Physical therapy is integrated into treatment plans to restore mobility and strength alongside wound care. The practice addresses complex cases where conventional wound management has plateaued, positioning HBOT and coordinated rehabilitation as central to its clinical approach for patients seeking to avoid amputation and maintain independence.

In regard to wound care using hyperbaric treatments, US-Woundcare in Lewisville is a first class operation. The Doctor and staff were professional, enthusiastic, and passionate in their care and welcoming environment to all patients and in my personal experience. The facilities were extremely clean and the safety protocols made feel completely safe. Dr K answered all my questions and concerns and was very effective in the healing of my wound. She kept my referring doctor informed of my progress throughout the treatment. If ever needed, I would request her again and would strongly recommend her practice to my friends because of the patient care I experienced.

From personal experience, I can say that this particular type of hyperbaric chamber may not be suitable for everyone. I experienced significant anxiety while using it. The setup involves placing a ring around the neck and a hood over the face, which severely limits visibility and can feel restrictive. For individuals with a history of PTSD or sensitivity to enclosed spaces, such as myself, this configuration can be especially distressing. Due to my own trauma history, I found the hood and neck apparatus intolerable and ultimately chose to continue hyperbaric treatment elsewhere that offered a single-person chamber. Unfortunately, once my doctor at US Wound Care became aware that I was receiving monoplace hyperbaric therapy elsewhere, she refused to coordinate care and allow me to continue seeing her for my wound care and dismissed me as a patient effective immediately. If you find this type of chamber difficult to tolerate, I strongly recommend exploring alternative wound care centers that offer different equipment and a more flexible approach to patient needs otherwise, it's just a waste of your time to come here.

1st visit was met with rudeness by nurse/nurse practitioner regarding the type of wounds on my spouses legs. I don't believe they were experienced and acted hesitant on touching them. Follow up visit after an 8 day stay in hospital where we were instructed to continue wound care follow up was horrible. Nurse Juan was professional, helpful and provided a referral. Once Dr Amandeep Kaur came in room the experience changed. She was extremely arrogant and would not listen to either of us. She dismissed what I was relaying from my spouses highly experienced specialists as though she knew more. Her specialty is wound care and should stick to only discussing wounds. Hospital release docs stated continued skilled wound care evaluation/treat. This is not what he received today. Dr Kaur only wanted to hear her own voice and when I spoke up to advocate she told me to leave. I would not recommend this wound care facility unless you are prepared to be bullied in your appt and told you don't need wound care which was a direct contradiction from qualified Dr's and wound care specialist at the hospital. Dr Kaur actually have the nerve to state that our cardiologist only cared about their specialty vs my spouse and all of his medical needs. My spouse was previously treated at R3 Wound Clinics for past 2 years and never once received this level of 100% disrespect and lack of proper wound care no matter what condition his wounds were in. Dr Amandeep Kaur is by far the worst Dr either of us have ever come in contact with and should not treat patients.
