IV Therapy clinics in Texas

Texas IV therapy clinics concentrate heavily around the state's largest metros. Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio carry most of the supply, with additional pockets along the I-35 corridor connecting Austin to San Antonio and in parts of the Rio Grande Valley. Patients outside those metros, in West Texas, the Panhandle, or far South Texas away from the Valley, often travel sixty miles or more to reach a clinic offering IV therapy, and some drive to a neighboring metro rather than wait for an option closer to home.

Texas does not have a treatment-specific statute governing wellness IV therapy. The general rules are the ones that already apply to medicine and nursing: a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner typically orders the infusion after an assessment, and a registered nurse or other licensed professional administers it under that order. Whether the setting is a physician's office, a freestanding infusion suite, or a wellness spa changes little about who must supervise the infusion; it changes a lot about how closely that supervision is maintained day to day, so ask directly.

Verify any prescriber through the Texas Medical Board, and any nurse through the Texas Board of Nursing. Both let you confirm an active license and check for disciplinary history, though neither can tell you how a specific clinic runs its assessments or sources its ingredients. Before booking anywhere in the state, ask who assesses you, what is actually in the bag and where it was compounded, how risks and reactions are disclosed in writing, what happens if the infusion does not help, and for a quote that itemizes the assessment, the infusion, and any add-ons separately.

This list's order is not for sale: organic ranking is not purchased, Featured placement is labeled and capped, and a Verified badge reflects completed credential checks rather than advertising spend. Regenerated.com remains free for patients, and inclusion here is not an endorsement of any clinic. The national IV therapy hub covers how intravenous treatment works and what the evidence supports. Regulatory context

A note on Texas's iv therapy rules.

FDA regulates the compounded ingredients used in IV therapy and the facilities that prepare them. Patient-specific compounded IVs fall under FDCA Section 503A, while bulk preparations for office use fall under Section 503B (outsourcing facilities). USP Chapter 797 governs sterile compounding standards. FDA has issued warnings about injectable glutathione marketed for skin lightening (2017) and has not approved NAD IV for any specific indication. Vitamin and mineral IV mixtures such as the Myers cocktail are compounded preparations and are not FDA-approved drug products.

  • Texas Nursing Practice Act (Tex. Occ. Code Ch. 301)
Defines RN scope including IV insertion and administration under a valid order from a physician or APRN.
  • Texas Medical Board delegation rules (Tex. Occ. Code Ch. 157)
Governs physician delegation of IV therapy through standing orders and medical director arrangements.

The Texas medical and nursing boards have addressed unlicensed practice in medical spa and IV lounge settings. Common enforcement themes include IV therapy administered without a valid physician order, stale or missing standing orders, absence of a designated medical director, and unlicensed personnel performing venipuncture. Boards have reiterated that a prescribing physician or APRN must establish a bona fide patient relationship before any IV protocol is initiated, and that standing orders must be specific, dated, and periodically reviewed. The Texas Medical Board has disciplined physicians serving as medical directors for IV lounges without establishing bona fide patient relationships, and Texas strictly enforces the corporate practice of medicine doctrine.

Supply concentrates in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, where most of the state's listed providers operate. Smaller cities and rural areas, especially in West Texas and the Panhandle, have few or none nearby. If you live outside a major metro, expect to travel to the nearest one, or check whether a clinic along a route you already travel offers it.

The treatment itself does not change by metro; what differs is supply and setting. Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston carry the largest concentration of options in the state, with Austin and San Antonio close behind along the I-35 corridor. The assessment, licensing requirements, and questions worth asking before booking stay the same wherever in Texas you look.

Pricing depends heavily on what is infused, who assesses you, and whether lab work or follow-up is included, so this page does not publish an average. Elective wellness infusions are usually paid out of pocket. Coverage for medically necessary treatment depends on diagnosis, provider, and plan, so confirm your benefits before booking and request an itemized written quote.

Texas does not have a rule written specifically for wellness IV infusions. The infusion is typically ordered by a physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner after an assessment, then administered by a registered nurse or other licensed professional under that order. The setting, whether a medical office or a wellness suite, matters less than confirming that supervision in writing.

Look up the ordering clinician through the Texas Medical Board, which lists physicians and physician assistants along with any disciplinary history. For the nurse administering the infusion, check the Texas Board of Nursing. Both confirm an active license, but neither explains how a particular clinic structures its assessments or sources its ingredients, so ask directly as well.

Some Texas clinics market infused products described as stem cell or exosome therapy, typically delivered intravenously in a wellness or infusion setting. Evidence supporting broad claims for these products is still limited, and most are not FDA approved for the uses they are marketed toward. Ask what the product actually contains, who regulates its source, and what documentation the clinic can provide.

Ask who assessed you and ordered the infusion, exactly what is in the product and where it was sourced or compounded, and how the clinic discloses risks in writing. Request a written quote that separates the assessment, the infusion, and any additional testing. A clinic that cannot answer these plainly is worth reconsidering regardless of how the treatment is marketed.

This page covers clinics across the entire state, useful for comparing regions or deciding whether to travel. A city page narrows that same list to one metro's providers and local geography. The national IV therapy hub explains the treatment generally, including how it works and what the evidence supports, without listing specific clinics or locations.
