About this clinic

Pinnacle Integrative Health, a regenerative medicine clinic in Seattle, combines stem-cell therapy, peptide therapy, and IV therapy with functional-medicine assessment and acupuncture. The practice evaluates biochemistry, physiology, and psychosocial history to identify root causes underlying chronic conditions rather than addressing symptoms in isolation. Treatment plans are individualized following a comprehensive initial workup, and therapies are sequenced according to lab findings and clinical response. The clinic positions itself as an alternative to symptom-management approaches, emphasizing regenerative and supportive modalities alongside functional-medicine diagnostics.

I am writing this review as a warning to others. I had (and still have) chronic knee and hip pain. Facing a possible hip and/or knee replacement, I researched alternative – of which stem cell therapy seemed to be best bet for a non-surgical solution. After researching various stem-cell approaches, I ended up going with Pinnacle Integrative Health (PIH) after talking at length with Dr Rassmussen. Dr Rassmussen convinced me that their approach using umbilical cord stem cells with a combination of PRP and O3 (ozone) therapy was the best approach, especially as I am 59 years old (according to Dr Rasmussen, our own body’s stem-cells lose their potency as we get older). I was told I was a prime candidate for success. The treatment cost about $12K, none of which I could run through medical insurance. I received my stem-cell/PRP/O3 treatment as scheduled, followed up with physical therapy and exercises. I stayed away from ibuprofen entirely (I don’t take any pills at all). I was told that initially there would be more pain as the healing process took root, which it did. The problem is the increase in pain never went away. However, I knew this was a process and I needed to be patient. I received a call from the Doctor’s staff 90 days after treatment. I told them that I had not experiencing any improvement, and that, in fact, both my hip and knee seemed to be worse than prior to treatment. However, I was also dealing with a kidney stone at that time, and the doctor thought the kidney stone may be exasperating my symptoms. The staff stated they would check back in a couple of weeks. That never happened. In fact, the team missed the next quarterly check as well. At about the 9-month mark, I called PIH inquiring about the missed follow-ups and letting them know that my situation continued to degrade. The staff and doctor were extremely apologetic, and had me come in for a second round of stem-cell therapy and O3 treatment. The result was exactly same – initially a bit more pain, then no change. At this point I was frustrated. After talking to Dr. Rasmussen again, we decided to get some MRI imaging of my hip and knee (at my cost). I scheduled and received the MRI at a location recommended by PIH, and was told by the MRI clinic that the results would be available and sent to my doctor at PIH in about a week. Three weeks later I still had not heard from PIH and called the MRI clinic. The clinic stated they had sent over my MRI results to PIH almost two weeks earlier. Again, PIH failed to follow up. As it turns out, I have level 4 osteoarthritis in my hip and several issues going on with knee, including meniscus tears and a ruptured ACL. I was under the impression that the treatments recommended by PIH should help with the osteoarthritis and meniscus issues. Dr Rasmussen stated that I just must be the “exception” and stem-cells won’t work for me. He offered me another treatment at a discounted cost, but at this point I was out over $13K and had nothing to show for it – in fact I would argue I was worse-off health wise. I feel this treatment was oversold, over-priced, and the follow-up was poor. When dealing with any of the staff in person, they are professional and accommodating, but at the end of the day there needs to be some results and accountability for follow-up. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

This is Erik’s mom Louise who is posting. I started to see Dr. Rasmussen at Pinnacle about my right knee giving me trouble. I will not have surgery at this age so decided to give them a try. Today was my second treatment and already I feel the difference. I have two more to go before starting physical therapy and all is definitely going in the right direction. For me, the shots were almost pain free. Of course, different people will react differently, but my experience with Dr. Rasmussen and his staff is nothing short of a miracle; I’m walking better already and pain is disminishing a lot. I highly recommend Dr. Rasmussen at PINNACLE REGENARATING in downtown Seattle at 509 Olivia Way. Give them a call and they will give you more explanations of their procedures.

I have been a patient of Pinnacle since July 2024. I have nothing but glowing remarks regarding my care and treatment. I went in with right shoulder pain and pain in both thumbs. I am using my shoulder more freely with much less pain. My thumbs are also much better. I received A2m, PRP, stem cell injection and Ozone injections. I also had 4 acupuncture treatments from Dr D Rasmusen. I have had significant improvement and am using my shoulder more freely with much less pain. Daniel, Oliver, Tam and Jarod have been fantastic. Jarod was my primary clinician, and I am so grateful to him. He is knowledgeable, friendly, talented and compassionate. I will continue to receive follow up treatments as needed. Please consider them for your functional medicine and restorative medicine needs. Definitely 5 stars ***** Mark Jensen
