West Palm Beach, FL
If you searched for IV chelation therapy in West Palm Beach, the drug is given through an intravenous line in an infusion chair or suite, most often at an integrative or functional medicine office. Local options also include offices in Jupiter, so compare their treatment locations with those in Palm Beach Gardens and West Palm Beach before choosing an office. Chelation is advertised around Maplewood Drive and East Indiantown Road in Jupiter, along US-1 in North Palm Beach and on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard in West Palm Beach. For appointments south of Jupiter, compare I-95 with US-1 through Juno Beach; Tequesta is north of Jupiter, not on that southbound route. Use I-95 and connecting roads such as PGA Boulevard and Donald Ross Road for Gardens appointments. Confirm where consultations, infusions and laboratory visits happen, since a multi-location practice may not offer every service at each address.
In this area, chelation appears among services at integrative and functional medicine offices, sometimes alongside other intravenous treatments. A first appointment should establish a medical reason for chelation through your exposure history, medication review and appropriate testing. Ask who prescribes the drug, whether a licensed nurse or physician administers it, and who provides medical supervision during an infusion. Follow-up should include monitoring appropriate to the medication and a clear way to reach the treating team between visits.
Before booking, request the drug's exact name, its source and an explanation of why it suits your diagnosis. Ask for written risks and side effects, including possible kidney injury and changes in essential mineral levels, plus criteria for stopping if treatment is not helping. A written quote should distinguish the consultation, medication, administration, laboratory work and follow-up, identifying anything billed separately. Wellness chelation is commonly cash pay, and many advertised uses lack FDA approval or convincing evidence of benefit.
Regenerated.com is free for patients, and payment cannot buy a higher organic listing position. Featured spaces are limited and clearly labeled, while Verified reflects credential checks rather than a provider's spending. Being included in the directory does not mean Regenerated.com endorses the provider or the treatment offered.
For an explanation of how chelation works and the evidence for particular uses, consult the national chelation therapy hub. To understand the local listings and their labels, read How to read a Regenerated city hub and Featured vs Verified vs organic.
Regulatory context
The FDA has approved a narrow set of chelating agents for specific heavy metal toxicities. Calcium disodium edetate (CaNa2EDTA, Versenate) is approved for symptomatic lead poisoning, succimer (Chemet, DMSA) for pediatric lead poisoning at blood lead levels above 45 mcg/dL, deferoxamine (Desferal) and deferasirox (Exjade) for chronic iron overload, and dimercaprol (BAL) for arsenic, gold, and acute lead poisoning. Use of EDTA chelation for cardiovascular disease was studied in the NIH-funded TACT trial (2013) with controversial findings and remains not FDA-approved for that indication. Chelation for autism spectrum disorder is not evidence-based and has been linked to pediatric deaths. The FDA issued a 2010 sweep of warning letters to compounders marketing OTC chelation products with unapproved disease claims.
Florida has historically been one of the most permissive states for chelation therapy due to a more permissive osteopathic medical board and a large integrative medicine market in South Florida. The Florida Medical Board has investigated chelation clinics for autism marketing and inadequate informed consent. Florida does not license NDs, so chelation practice is restricted to MDs and DOs. Several pediatric chelation incidents nationally have prompted the Florida Department of Health to remind practitioners of the importance of using CaNa2EDTA rather than the dangerous Na2EDTA.
