Arthritis Treatment clinics in the United States

This is the national page for arthritis treatment on Regenerated.com, listing clinics across the United States that record care for arthritis, joint pain and joint inflammation. Arthritis treatment covers osteoarthritis (OA), also called degenerative joint disease, as well as inflammatory forms such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis and gout. Standard care includes exercise therapy, weight management, physical therapy, topical and oral NSAIDs, corticosteroid joint injections, hyaluronic acid injections (viscosupplementation) and, for inflammatory arthritis, disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) such as methotrexate and biologics. Regenerative options that clinics list include platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections, bone marrow or fat derived cell injections and prolotherapy. Care is delivered by rheumatologists, orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine and pain physicians, physiatrists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists and chiropractors, and patients often compare it with joint replacement, genicular nerve radiofrequency ablation and acupuncture.

The evidence for arthritis treatment is strongest for exercise, weight loss in knee osteoarthritis, NSAIDs and, in inflammatory arthritis, early DMARD therapy. The osteoarthritis guideline from the American College of Rheumatology and the Arthritis Foundation, led by Sharon Kolasinski, strongly recommends exercise and corticosteroid injections for knee OA, while the Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) publishes its own guidance. DMARDs and biologics are FDA approved for specific inflammatory diagnoses, and hyaluronic acid products are FDA approved as devices for knee osteoarthritis, although guideline support for them is mixed. PRP for arthritis is investigational and used off label, and the FDA has not approved any stem cell product for osteoarthritis. Those regenerative injections are usually cash pay, and the research on them is still small and uneven.

A typical candidate has arthritis confirmed by an exam, imaging or blood tests and still has pain, stiffness or lost function despite exercise and first line medicine. People with mild to moderate knee or hip osteoarthritis are the group most often offered injections, while advanced joint damage is usually assessed for surgery. A hot, swollen joint with fever needs urgent care, and new joint swelling with morning stiffness should be seen by a rheumatologist before any regenerative injection, because untreated inflammatory arthritis can damage joints. Active infection, some blood disorders and certain cancers also rule out many injections.

Supply of arthritis care is spread nationwide. Arthritis treatment is offered in rheumatology and orthopedic practices, hospital and university joint programs, infusion suites that give biologics, sports medicine and pain clinics, chiropractic and physical therapy offices, and wellness or regenerative clinics. Listings concentrate in California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey and Arizona, and in metros such as Houston, New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Dallas, Los Angeles and the Phoenix and Scottsdale area, while smaller towns often have fewer specialists. Many patients across the country travel for a regenerative injection, then continue rehab and follow up closer to home.

Before booking anywhere, ask who holds the license, who performs and supervises each injection, and whether imaging guidance such as ultrasound is used. Ask exactly what is administered, where it comes from, how it is prepared and whether its use for your joint is approved or off label. Ask for written disclosure of risks such as infection, flare and bleeding. A clear quote itemizes the consultation, imaging, preparation, injections and follow up, and the plan should say how progress will be measured and what happens if it does not help.

This national list is not for sale. Organic order is never paid ranking, Featured slots are labeled and capped, and Verified means the clinic completed credential checks, not that it spent money. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement of any clinic or treatment. Use the state hubs below the list to build a shortlist of arthritis providers closer to you, and read more about osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis on their condition pages.

For options, evidence and questions in more depth, read the arthritis treatment guide. Two short explainers cover how listings work here: How to read a Regenerated city hub and Featured vs Verified vs organic.

Arthritis Treatment in the United States, answered.

Arthritis treatment aims to reduce joint pain, stiffness and inflammation and to protect joint function. Exercise and physical therapy strengthen the muscles that support a joint, NSAIDs and corticosteroid injections calm inflammation, and DMARDs and biologics slow the immune attack in rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis. Regenerative clinics add platelet rich plasma or cell based injections, which are meant to change the joint environment, although that effect is still being studied. Most plans combine several approaches rather than relying on one.

The evidence for arthritis treatment in the United States best supports exercise, weight loss for knee osteoarthritis, NSAIDs, corticosteroid injections and early DMARD therapy for inflammatory arthritis. DMARDs and biologics are FDA approved for specific diagnoses, and hyaluronic acid is approved as a device for knee osteoarthritis. Platelet rich plasma is used off label, and no stem cell product is FDA approved for osteoarthritis. Clinics offering those injections should tell you plainly that the research is still developing.

A candidate for regenerative arthritis treatment usually has mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee, hip or shoulder confirmed by exam and imaging, and still has symptoms after exercise therapy and standard medicine. People with advanced joint damage are often better assessed for joint replacement. New joint swelling with morning stiffness should be checked by a rheumatologist first, since inflammatory arthritis needs medical treatment. Active infection, some blood disorders and certain cancers usually rule injections out.

A course of arthritis treatment usually starts with a history, an exam, imaging and sometimes blood tests to confirm the type of arthritis. The clinician sets a plan that may pair exercise, physical therapy and medicine with injections, and image guided injections are often followed by a period of rehab. Inflammatory arthritis care continues with regular lab monitoring and dose changes. A good plan states how progress will be measured and when to stop or change course.

The cost of arthritis treatment depends on the clinician type, imaging, the injection or medicine used, how it is prepared and whether insurance covers it. Physical therapy, standard medicines, corticosteroid injections and many biologics are often covered, sometimes with prior authorization, while PRP and cell based injections are usually cash pay. This page publishes no averages because clinics bundle services differently. Ask each provider for an itemized written quote and confirm coverage with your insurer.

Chiropractors and some wellness spas list arthritis care, usually as manual therapy, exercise guidance, heat, red light or massage rather than injections or prescription medicine. Those services can help some people with comfort and movement, but they do not replace a medical diagnosis or rheumatology care for inflammatory arthritis. If you searched for a specific chiropractic office or spa, use the state hubs and city links below the national list to find clinics in that area, then check each profile for its services.

You can verify an arthritis provider's license through the licensing board in the state where they practice, since every state runs a public lookup. Physicians and nurse practitioners are checked with the medical or nursing board, and chiropractors and physical therapists have their own boards. Confirm the license is active, look for public discipline and ask about board certification in rheumatology, orthopedics or sports medicine. A Verified label on Regenerated.com means the clinic completed the credential checks described in the vetting materials.

You can go from this national arthritis treatment list to a local shortlist by opening the state hubs and top city links below the list. Each one narrows the list to arthritis clinics in that area. Organic order is never sold, Featured slots are labeled and capped, and Verified means credential checks rather than spend. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion is not an endorsement, so compare credentials, diagnosis, imaging and follow up before you book.
