PRP Therapy clinics in the United States

This is the national page for PRP therapy on Regenerated.com, listing clinics across the United States that record the treatment. PRP stands for platelet rich plasma, and the treatment is also called PRP injections, platelet injections or autologous conditioned plasma. A clinician draws a small amount of your own blood, spins it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets and their growth factors, and injects that plasma into a tendon, joint, ligament, scalp or skin, often under ultrasound guidance. Sports medicine physicians, orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, pain specialists, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and nurse practitioners or physician assistants working under a physician deliver it. People often compare it with cortisone injections, hyaluronic acid injections, prolotherapy, stem cell therapy, shockwave therapy and, for hair loss, minoxidil or microneedling.

The evidence picture for PRP therapy is real but uneven. The strongest support is for chronic tendon problems such as tennis elbow and for knee osteoarthritis, where several randomized trials found longer lasting relief than cortisone for tennis elbow or hyaluronic acid for the knee, although a JAMA trial led by Kim Bennell in Australia found PRP no better than saline for knee osteoarthritis symptoms. Results for androgenetic hair loss are modest and promising, and uses for sexual health, facial rejuvenation and other advanced rejuvenation therapies rest mostly on small studies. The centrifuge systems that prepare PRP are FDA cleared devices, but the injection itself is not FDA approved for most conditions people ask about, so it is used off label and is usually cash pay.

A typical candidate for PRP is an adult with a diagnosed tendon, joint or hair loss problem that rest, physical therapy and standard medication have not resolved, who wants to try a treatment made from their own blood. People with low platelet counts, platelet or bleeding disorders, an active infection, a cancer at or near the injection site, or severe anemia are usually told to look elsewhere. Anyone on blood thinners or regular anti inflammatory drugs should ask their prescribing doctor before stopping anything.

Supply is spread nationwide. Most listings are orthopedic and sports medicine practices, pain clinics, regenerative medicine practices, dermatology and aesthetic offices, hair restoration clinics and some hospital outpatient programs. Listings in this directory concentrate in Florida, Texas, California and New Jersey, with notable groups around Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Denver, Seattle and the Washington, D.C. suburbs of Virginia and Maryland. Many patients travel for a specific clinician, so ask how follow up will work once you are home.

Before booking anywhere, check the license of the person who injects you and of the supervising physician with the state board. Ask exactly what is injected, how the blood is processed, whether the clinic uses imaging guidance, and whether anything is added to your plasma. Ask for written disclosure of risks such as pain, swelling, infection and nerve or tendon injury. A clear quote itemizes the consultation, imaging, each injection and follow up visits.

This national list is not for sale. Organic order is never paid ranking, Featured slots are labeled and capped, and Verified means the clinic completed credential checks, not that it spent money. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement. Use the state hubs below the list to build a shortlist near you.

For preparation methods, evidence and risks in more depth, read the PRP therapy guide. If knee pain brought you here, the page on osteoarthritis and its treatment options places PRP next to standard care. Two short explainers cover how listings work here: How to read a Regenerated city hub and Featured vs Verified vs organic.

PRP Therapy in the United States, answered.

PRP therapy is an injection of platelet rich plasma made from your own blood. The clinician draws blood, spins it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets, and injects the plasma into the injured tendon, joint, scalp or skin. Platelets release growth factors that help signal tissue repair, and the treatment aims to support that healing response. Because the plasma comes from your own body, allergic reactions are uncommon, though the injection still carries risks.

PRP therapy has its strongest evidence for chronic tendon problems such as tennis elbow and for knee osteoarthritis, where several trials found relief that outlasted cortisone or hyaluronic acid, although a JAMA trial led by Kim Bennell found no benefit over saline. Results for hair loss are modest and promising. Uses for facial rejuvenation, sexual health and other advanced rejuvenation therapies rest mostly on small studies. PRP injections are not FDA approved for most of these uses and are usually given off label.

A good candidate for PRP therapy is an adult with a diagnosed tendon, ligament, joint or hair loss problem that rest, physical therapy and standard medication have not resolved. Clinicians generally advise against PRP for people with low platelet counts, bleeding or platelet disorders, active infection, cancer near the injection site or severe anemia. Anyone taking blood thinners or anti inflammatory drugs should talk with the prescribing doctor before changing them.

A course of PRP therapy starts with an exam, a review of imaging and medications, and a plan for which area will be treated. On the day, blood is drawn, processed in a centrifuge and injected, often with ultrasound guidance, in a visit that usually fits within an outpatient appointment. Soreness for a few days is common, and many plans pause anti inflammatory drugs and add physical therapy. The clinician should state in writing how progress will be judged.

The cost of PRP therapy depends on the area treated, the preparation system, whether ultrasound guidance is used, the clinician's training and the number of injections in the plan. Insurance often declines to cover PRP because it is used off label for most conditions. This page publishes no averages because quotes bundle different services, so ask each clinic for an itemized written quote before you book.

To find PRP therapy in Reno, NV, open the Nevada state hub below this national list, then choose the Reno city hub it shows. Compare each profile's listed treatments, clinician credentials and Verified status, and look for orthopedic, sports medicine or regenerative practices that use imaging guidance. Call before booking to ask who performs the injection, how the plasma is prepared and how follow up will work.

Every state runs free online license lookups through its medical board for MDs, an osteopathic board for DOs where one exists, and separate boards for nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses. Search the person who performs your PRP injection and the supervising physician by name, confirm each license is active, and read any public disciplinary orders. Board certification in sports medicine, orthopedics, physiatry or dermatology can be checked with the certifying board.

Organic order on this national PRP therapy page is never sold, and Featured slots are labeled and capped. Verified means the clinic completed claim and credential checks, not that it paid. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion is not an endorsement of any clinic or of PRP itself. To move from this list to a local shortlist, open your state hub below the list, then the city hub closest to you.
