Stem Cell Therapy clinics in the United States

This is the national page for stem cell therapy on Regenerated.com, listing clinics across the United States that record the treatment. Stem cell therapy, also called cell therapy, cellular regeneration or regenerative cell treatment, means placing living cells into the body with the aim of repairing or calming damaged tissue. Outpatient clinics most often use mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs, also called mesenchymal stromal cells) taken from the patient's own bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) or fat (adipose derived cells), or donor material from umbilical cord or placental tissue. The cells are injected into a joint, tendon or spine region under ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance, or given by IV infusion. Orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, interventional pain specialists and physiatrists deliver most joint work, and patients usually compare it with platelet rich plasma (PRP), prolotherapy, hyaluronic acid injections, steroid injections and joint replacement.

The evidence picture is uneven, and it helps to say it plainly. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, done in hospital programs for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and some immune disorders, is established medicine, and the FDA has licensed a small number of cord blood and cell products for specific blood and transplant conditions. Most cash pay uses, such as knee osteoarthritis, back pain, autoimmune disease, neurological conditions and anti aging, are investigational. The FDA regulates these products as human cells and tissues, has issued repeated consumer warnings about unapproved stem cell products, and has not approved any for orthopedic or wellness use. Small trials of bone marrow and adipose injections for knee arthritis show mixed results, and larger controlled studies are still running.

Candidates are generally adults with a clear diagnosis, imaging that matches their symptoms, and conservative care such as physical therapy and medication already tried. People with active cancer, an active infection, a bleeding disorder, pregnancy, or advanced joint collapse where replacement is the standard option are usually told to wait or look elsewhere. Anyone offered cells for a serious disease outside a registered clinical trial should get a second opinion from their specialist first.

Supply runs from hospital transplant and research programs, through orthopedic and pain practices, to stand alone regenerative and wellness clinics. A widely cited analysis by bioethicist Leigh Turner and stem cell biologist Paul Knoepfler in the journal Cell Stem Cell found direct to consumer stem cell businesses clustered in states such as California, Florida, Texas, Arizona and Colorado, and that pattern still shows in listings. Many patients travel to another state for care, so it is worth planning for follow up close to home.

Before booking anywhere, ask who performs the procedure and who supervises it, and check that physician's license and board certification. Ask exactly what is administered: the cell source, whether it comes from you or a donor, how it is processed, and whether it is used under an FDA approved trial or as a tissue product. Ask for written disclosure of risks, including infection, pain flare and the chance of no benefit, and for a quote that itemizes harvest, processing, imaging guidance and follow up visits. Ask what happens if symptoms worsen and who you call.

This national list is not for sale. Organic order is never paid ranking, Featured slots are labeled and capped, and Verified means the clinic completed credential checks, not that it spent money. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement. Use the state hubs below the list to build a shortlist closer to you.

Stem Cell Therapy in the United States, answered.

Stem cell therapy places living cells, usually mesenchymal stem cells from bone marrow, fat or donated umbilical cord tissue, into an injured area or the bloodstream. In outpatient clinics the cells are thought to act mainly by releasing signals that calm inflammation and support local repair, rather than by turning into new cartilage or tissue. How much repair actually happens in people is still being studied, which is why most clinic uses remain investigational in the United States.

A cellular regeneration clinic is a practice that offers cell based or regenerative treatments, typically stem cell injections, PRP, exosome products or IV infusions, often on a cash pay basis. The label covers everything from physician led orthopedic practices to wellness studios. The name alone tells you little, so check who is licensed to perform each procedure, what product is used and its source, and whether the clinic is working within an FDA approved trial or a tissue product framework.

Stem cell therapy is established for blood forming stem cell transplants that treat leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and certain immune disorders in hospital programs. For knee osteoarthritis, tendon injuries and back pain, small studies show mixed results and larger controlled trials are ongoing. Claims for autoimmune disease, neurological conditions, lung disease or aging lack solid trial support. The FDA has not approved stem cell products for orthopedic or wellness use and has warned consumers about unapproved clinics.

A well qualified stem cell therapy clinic in the USA is led by a board certified physician in a relevant specialty, uses imaging guidance for injections, explains the cell source in writing and gives an itemized quote. No directory can name a single best provider, and this page does not rank clinics by quality. Start with the state hubs below the list, compare credentials and what each clinic administers, and ask your own specialist to review the plan.

A typical candidate for stem cell therapy is an adult with a confirmed diagnosis, imaging that matches the symptoms, and conservative care such as physical therapy already tried. People with active cancer, infection, bleeding disorders, pregnancy or severe joint collapse are usually advised against it or pointed toward other options. Anyone with a serious disease being offered cells outside a registered clinical trial should talk to their own specialist before paying.

The cost of stem cell therapy is driven by the cell source, whether bone marrow or fat must be harvested, lab processing, imaging guidance, the number of areas treated and follow up visits. Insurance rarely covers it outside hospital transplant care. This page publishes no averages because quotes bundle different services and change often, so a single figure would mislead. Ask each clinic for an itemized written quote and compare like with like.

Every state runs a medical board with a free online license lookup, and the Federation of State Medical Boards links to all of them. Search the physician's full name to confirm an active license and any disciplinary history, then check board certification through the American Board of Medical Specialties. For a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, use the state nursing or physician assistant board and ask which physician supervises the stem cell procedure.

Organic order on this stem cell therapy page is never sold, so no clinic can buy a higher place in the list. Featured slots are clearly labeled and capped in number. Verified means the clinic completed credential checks, not that it paid. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion is not an endorsement. To narrow the national list, open your state hub below it, then a city hub, to build a local shortlist.
