Oxygen Therapy clinics in the United States
This is the national page for oxygen therapy on Regenerated.com, listing clinics across the United States that record the treatment. Oxygen therapy means breathing oxygen at a higher concentration than room air, through a nasal cannula, a face mask or a reservoir bag fed by an oxygen concentrator or a cylinder. In medicine it is supplemental oxygen or long term oxygen therapy, prescribed by pulmonologists and other physicians and supplied through home medical equipment companies. In wellness settings the label usually covers exercise with oxygen therapy, also called EWOT or oxygen multistep therapy after the work of the German physicist Manfred von Ardenne, where you breathe concentrated oxygen while riding a stationary bike or walking on a treadmill, plus oxygen bars and resting oxygen sessions. People often compare it with hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), which delivers oxygen inside a pressurized chamber and is a separate treatment, and with ozone therapy, which uses a different gas altogether.
The evidence is strong in one place and thin in most others. Supplemental oxygen is standard care for hypoxemia, meaning low blood oxygen, and the Nocturnal Oxygen Therapy Trial and the British Medical Research Council trial showed longer survival in people with COPD and severe resting hypoxemia who used oxygen many hours a day. The later Long Term Oxygen Treatment Trial found no such benefit for people with only moderate desaturation, which is why a measured need matters. High flow oxygen through a mask is also an established acute treatment for cluster headache. Medical oxygen is regulated by the FDA as a prescription drug, while EWOT and oxygen bar sessions for energy, recovery, detox, longevity or cognition rest on small studies and testimonials, and no such wellness claim has FDA approval.
A candidate for medical oxygen is someone whose low oxygen has been confirmed by pulse oximetry or an arterial blood gas test, often with COPD, pulmonary fibrosis or heart failure. For wellness sessions, a typical candidate is a healthy adult who has completed a screening form and understands the evidence is limited. People with COPD who retain carbon dioxide, anyone who smokes or is near open flame, people with uncontrolled heart disease who plan to exercise, and anyone who is pregnant are usually told to check with their own physician first.
Supply runs through two separate systems. Prescribed oxygen comes from pulmonology practices, hospital programs and home medical equipment suppliers, while EWOT and oxygen sessions sit in integrative and functional medicine practices, longevity clinics, chiropractic offices, recovery studios and medical spas, sometimes in the same building as a hyperbaric chamber. Listings in this directory concentrate most heavily in Texas, California, Florida, Arizona and New York, with steady supply in Colorado, Georgia and Illinois. Many patients look farther afield, or pair a session with a wellness retreat, so it helps to know what to ask.
Before booking anywhere, ask who supervises the session and what license that person holds. Ask exactly what is administered: the oxygen concentration, the flow rate, the source and grade of the oxygen, and how your oxygen saturation and heart rate are monitored during exercise. Ask for written disclosure of risks, including fire safety, and the screening questions used. A clear quote itemizes the evaluation, each session, any membership or package terms and follow up, and says whether anything is billed to insurance.
This national list is not for sale. Organic order is never paid ranking, Featured slots are labeled and capped, and Verified means the clinic completed credential checks, not that it spent money. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement. Use the state hubs below the list to build a shortlist of oxygen therapy providers near you.
