Ketamine Therapy clinics in Tulsa
Ketamine therapy providers in the Tulsa metro are not spread evenly across the city. The clearest concentration sits in Midtown Tulsa, along the Utica Avenue corridor near Ascension St. John Medical Center and Hillcrest Medical Center. Several of these Midtown and south Tulsa practices focus specifically on depression care, often coordinating with psychiatric providers in those same corridors. A second cluster sits in south Tulsa near Saint Francis Hospital, around 61st Street and Yale Avenue. A smaller number of providers operate in Broken Arrow, reached from central Tulsa by the Broken Arrow Expressway or the Creek Turnpike, and in Owasso to the north along US-169. If a listing shows an address outside these areas, confirm it is a licensed medical office rather than a wellness studio before booking.
Ketamine therapy for depression in Tulsa is generally delivered as an intravenous infusion or, at some practices, as nasal esketamine, inside a monitored medical setting rather than a spa or storefront. A prescriber, often a psychiatrist or a physician working with psychiatric support, oversees the session along with clinical staff who track blood pressure and response during and after dosing. A first visit usually includes a psychiatric and medical history, a review of current medications, and a conversation about what has already been tried for depression that has not improved with standard care. Follow-up should adjust the plan based on how you respond rather than following a fixed schedule set in advance.
Before booking with any Tulsa provider, ask who prescribes and who stays in the room during the infusion, where the ketamine comes from, and how side effects and risks are disclosed in writing. Ask what happens if the treatment does not help, and request a written, itemized quote that separates the evaluation, the medication, monitoring, and any therapy or follow-up visits so nothing arrives as a surprise later.

Regulatory context
A note on Oklahoma's ketamine therapy rules.
Ketamine is a DEA Schedule III controlled substance, FDA-approved as a dissociative anesthetic and used off-label for treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and chronic pain. The FDA approved esketamine (Spravato) in 2019 for treatment-resistant depression under a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) program that requires in-office administration at certified sites. MDMA-assisted therapy remains Schedule I; the FDA issued a Complete Response Letter in August 2024 to Lykos Therapeutics on its MDMA new drug application. Psilocybin is Schedule I and holds FDA Breakthrough Therapy designation through sponsors such as Compass Pathways and Usona, but has not received FDA approval. Oregon Measure 109 (passed 2020, operational 2023) created a state psilocybin service center framework, and Colorado Proposition 122 (2022) authorized regulated healing centers.
-
HB 2107 / Psilocybin Research (2023)
Authorized and funded psilocybin research for PTSD treatment; does not create therapeutic access. -
Oklahoma Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Act
Mirrors federal scheduling.
Oklahoma enforces federal scheduling. The Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision oversees prescriber conduct. DEA enforcement on ketamine clinics focuses on diversion and Ryan Haight Act telehealth rules. Oklahoma PMP requires controlled substance reporting. Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs requires a state controlled substance registration in addition to federal DEA.
