Ozone Therapy clinics in California

Looking for an ozone therapy clinic in California? Start with listings in your region and confirm the treatment address before expanding your search to other parts of the state. California's options cluster around greater Los Angeles and Orange County, San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area, with additional offices around Sacramento. Rural northern counties, the Sierra Nevada and inland desert communities have more scattered options, so reaching a suitable office may mean a long regional trip or an overnight stay. Availability of one ozone method does not establish availability of another.

California offerings include integrative medical offices, infusion settings and wellness practices, so the setting alone does not establish who is qualified to treat you. Federal device rules and California's professional scope and supervision rules apply; an advertised service is not evidence of regulatory approval. Ask the relevant licensing board whether the clinician's license and practice arrangements cover the proposed procedure, especially when blood handling or injections are involved.

Check MDs through the Medical Board of California, DOs through the Osteopathic Medical Board of California, physician assistants through the California Physician Assistant Board, and registered nurses through the California Board of Registered Nursing. For a naturopathic doctor, use the California Board of Naturopathic Medicine. These checks identify license status and available public disciplinary records, but do not establish that ozone therapy is appropriate for your diagnosis.

Before booking, request the treating clinician's credentials, supervision arrangements, exact method, oxygen source and how ozone is generated. Ask for written risks, an emergency plan and what happens if treatment does not help, including follow up after you return home. Ozone therapy is generally cash pay, evidence for broad wellness claims is limited, and these uses are not FDA approved. Get a written quote separating consultation, testing, treatment and follow up.

Organic listing order is not sold. Featured slots are labeled and capped, Verified means completed credential checks rather than advertising spend, and Regenerated.com is free for patients. Inclusion is not an endorsement of a provider or treatment.

For proposed mechanisms and the evidence by use, see the national ozone therapy hub. For help interpreting this directory, read How to read a Regenerated city hub and Featured vs Verified vs organic.

Regulatory context

A note on California's ozone therapy rules.

The "other" category is a catchall for regenerative wellness modalities with inconsistent federal oversight. Red light therapy devices (photobiomodulation) have narrow FDA 510(k) clearances for acne, muscle pain, and wound healing, not systemic regeneration. Whole-body cryotherapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical indication and received an FDA safety communication in July 2016 warning of asphyxiation, frostbite, and burn risks. Ozone therapy is NOT FDA-approved for any medical use and the FDA has stated ozone is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application. Condition-specific regenerative offerings (hair restoration with minoxidil or finasteride, ED care beyond PDE5 inhibitors and shockwave) have varying approval depending on route and drug source.

  • California Medical Practice Act (Bus. & Prof. Code §§ 2000-2529)
Defines medical practice and corporate practice of medicine prohibitions strictly enforced against lay-owned medical spas.
  • California Business & Professions Code §§ 2051-2052
Prohibits unlicensed practice of medicine and aiding and abetting by non-physician owners.
  • Board of Registered Nursing Standardized Procedures (CCR Title 16 § 1474)
Requires physician-developed standardized procedures for RNs performing cosmetic and wellness injections or laser work.

California is among the strictest enforcement states. The Medical Board of California has issued public advisories and taken disciplinary action against medical spas for corporate practice of medicine violations, unsupervised RN injections, and false advertising of unapproved therapies. Ozone therapy is heavily scrutinized and clinics making cancer or infection treatment claims risk board discipline and Attorney General consumer protection action. The California Department of Public Health and local health departments also investigate facility and infection control issues at wellness clinics.

Ozone Therapy in , answered.

Begin with listings in your part of California, then verify the actual treatment location and method directly with the office. Greater Los Angeles, San Diego, the Bay Area and Sacramento offer other areas to compare. If you live in a rural or mountain community, check availability before planning a regional trip. Ask whether assessment and follow up require travel too, since the nearest advertised service may use a different method.

Ozone therapy is generally cash pay, so obtain confirmation from your insurer for the exact proposed service before expecting reimbursement. Method, equipment, staff time, testing and follow up affect the total. Request a written quote that separates each component and identifies optional additions and cancellation terms. This page does not publish average prices because different methods and bundled services make those figures difficult to compare meaningfully.

The answer depends on the procedure and the clinician's professional scope, not on an ozone training certificate alone. Ask who evaluates you, orders treatment, administers it and handles complications, then confirm the arrangement with the appropriate California licensing board. Nurse practitioner practice authority can differ, so check the individual's status with the Board of Registered Nursing. A wellness business name does not establish permission to perform injections or handle blood.

Use the Medical Board of California for MDs and the Osteopathic Medical Board of California for DOs. Check physician assistants with the California Physician Assistant Board, registered nurses with the California Board of Registered Nursing, and naturopathic doctors with the California Board of Naturopathic Medicine. Match the name and license number, confirm current status, and read available disciplinary documents. Public records do not reveal every complaint or establish treatment effectiveness.

Adults with persistent symptoms sometimes seek ozone therapy after standard care has not helped, but that history alone does not establish suitability. There is no general candidate profile that applies across its different methods and claimed uses. Have your usual clinician review the proposal alongside your diagnosis, medications and established options. If you are pregnant, medically unstable or still seeking an explanation for new symptoms, seek medical assessment before booking elective treatment.

This state page helps you compare regions and decide whether travel makes sense. City pages narrow the location search, while the national ozone therapy hub explains methods and evidence. A general web search mixes advertisements, provider claims and directories with different labeling practices. Here, the listing policies are stated explicitly, but you still need to confirm current services, treatment addresses and clinical suitability directly.

Featured identifies a paid placement that is labeled and capped; organic listing order is not sold. Verified means completed credential checks, rather than payment for a badge. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion is not an endorsement. Use the labels to understand placement and credential checking, then separately assess whether the proposed method has evidence for your condition and whether the clinic explains risks and follow up clearly.

Reviews can describe communication, billing and a patient's experience, but cannot show that ozone caused an improvement or predict your response. Research differs by condition and delivery method, and evidence remains limited for broad wellness claims. Findings about a local injection cannot establish benefits from blood treatment. Ask for research on your diagnosis and the exact proposed method, including harms and alternatives; testimonials do not establish FDA approval.
