Ketamine Therapy clinics in the United States
This is the national page for ketamine therapy on Regenerated.com, listing clinics across the United States that record the treatment. Ketamine therapy, also called ketamine infusion therapy, IV ketamine, ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP) or low dose ketamine treatment, uses ketamine, an anesthetic that blocks NMDA glutamate receptors, at doses well below those used for surgery. Clinics give it as a slow IV infusion, an intramuscular injection, oral or sublingual tablets known as lozenges or troches, or as esketamine, a related molecule delivered by nasal spray. Psychiatrists, anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, nurse anesthetists and psychiatric nurse practitioners deliver most care, often alongside a therapist. Patients usually compare it with antidepressant medication, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and psychedelic assisted therapy trials.
The evidence picture is clearer than for many cash pay treatments, with real limits. Ketamine itself is FDA approved as an anesthetic, and its use for depression, anxiety, PTSD and chronic pain is off label. Esketamine nasal spray is FDA approved for treatment resistant depression and for depressive symptoms with suicidal thoughts, given in certified clinics under a restricted safety program. Research by Carlos Zarate and colleagues at the National Institute of Mental Health, building on earlier work at Yale, showed rapid but often short lived improvement in hard to treat depression. Evidence for PTSD, obsessive compulsive disorder, chronic pain syndromes and alcohol use disorder is growing but still investigational, and claims for anti aging or general wellness have no solid trial support. Compounded oral and sublingual products used in home programs are not FDA approved for any psychiatric use.
Candidates are generally adults with major depression or another diagnosed condition that has not responded to standard treatment, who have a prescriber or therapist involved in their care. People with uncontrolled high blood pressure, certain heart conditions, active psychosis or a history of psychotic illness, pregnancy, or a current substance use disorder are usually told to wait or look elsewhere. Anyone in crisis should contact their own clinician or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline rather than wait for a clinic appointment.
Supply runs from hospital and university psychiatry programs, through anesthesia and pain practices with infusion suites, to stand alone ketamine clinics, mental health practices offering KAP, wellness studios and telehealth services that mail tablets for home use. Listings concentrate in large metros in states such as California, Texas, Florida, New York and Colorado, and many patients travel for an initial series before continuing care closer to home. Home programs depend on federal telemedicine rules for controlled substances, which have changed more than once, so ask how a service handles in person evaluation.
Before booking anywhere, ask who orders the treatment, who monitors you during each session, and whether staff can manage blood pressure changes and breathing problems. Ask exactly what is administered: the route, the dose plan, whether the product is commercial or compounded, and whether a therapist is part of the program. Ask for written disclosure of risks, including dissociation, nausea, raised blood pressure, bladder irritation with frequent use, and misuse potential. Ask what a quote itemizes, whether any part is billed to insurance, and what follow up and maintenance look like if symptoms return.
This national list is not for sale. Organic order is never paid ranking, Featured slots are labeled and capped, and Verified means the clinic completed credential checks, not that it spent money. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement. Use the state hubs below the list to build a shortlist closer to you.
