Ozone Therapy clinics in the United States
This is the national page for ozone therapy on Regenerated.com, listing clinics across the United States that record the treatment. Ozone therapy, also called medical ozone, oxygen ozone therapy, ozonotherapy or O3 therapy, uses a mixture of medical grade oxygen and a small fraction of ozone made on site by an ozone generator. Clinics give it in several ways: major autohemotherapy (MAH), where a portion of your blood is drawn, mixed with the gas and returned by vein; minor autohemotherapy, injected into muscle; prolozone, an ozone injection into or around a joint; rectal or vaginal insufflation; ozonated saline; ozonated oils on the skin; and extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation (EBOO), a filtered circuit some clinics run. Integrative and functional medicine physicians, naturopathic physicians, chiropractors working with a medical director, nurses and dentists deliver it. People often compare it with hyperbaric oxygen therapy, IV therapy, platelet rich plasma (PRP), prolotherapy and ultraviolet blood irradiation.
The evidence picture is mixed and mostly early. Much of the mechanism research comes from Velio Bocci at the University of Siena, who proposed that low ozone doses trigger a mild oxidative signal that prompts the body's own antioxidant response. Small randomized trials and reviews have looked at injections for knee osteoarthritis and lumbar disc herniation, ozone in dentistry, and topical use for diabetic foot ulcers, with some encouraging results but small samples and uneven methods. Claims for Lyme disease, long COVID, cancer, chronic infections and general detox rest on case reports, not solid trials. The FDA does not approve ozone for any medical use, and a federal regulation describes ozone as a toxic gas with no known useful medical application, so every ozone treatment in the United States is unapproved and cash pay.
A typical candidate is an adult with a diagnosed problem, often joint pain or arthritis that has not settled with standard care, who understands the evidence limits and has a physician reviewing the plan. People with G6PD deficiency, pregnancy, uncontrolled hyperthyroidism, a recent heart attack, bleeding disorders or severe anemia are usually told to avoid it or get specialist advice first. Ozone must never be inhaled, because it irritates the lungs, and direct injection of the gas into a vein has been linked to gas embolism.
Supply is spread across the country but uneven. Most listings are integrative and functional medicine practices, naturopathic offices, infusion suites and biological dental practices, and hospital programs rarely offer it. Listings concentrate in California, especially Southern California and Orange County, in Texas around Houston, Dallas and Fort Worth, in Florida around Miami and Tampa, and in Arizona around Scottsdale and Phoenix, with smaller clusters in New York, Colorado and Nevada. Many patients travel, so ask how follow up and side effects will be handled once you are home.
Before booking anywhere, check the license of the clinician who gives the treatment and of the supervising physician with the state board. Ask exactly which method you will receive, how the ozone dose is set, and how the generator, oxygen supply and blood handling equipment are maintained. Ask for written disclosure of risks such as vein irritation, infection, embolism and allergic reaction to anticoagulants. A clear quote itemizes the consultation, any lab tests such as G6PD screening, each session by method, and follow up visits.
This national list is not for sale. Organic order is never paid ranking, Featured slots are labeled and capped, and Verified means the clinic completed credential checks, not that it spent money. Regenerated.com is free for patients, and inclusion in the directory is not an endorsement. Use the state hubs below the list to build a shortlist closer to you.
For methods, evidence and risks in more depth, read the ozone therapy guide. If knee pain is the reason you are looking, the page on osteoarthritis and its treatment options puts ozone injections next to standard care. Two short explainers cover how listings work here: How to read a Regenerated city hub and Featured vs Verified vs organic.
